Sergeant Ordway earned his nomination for the title for being an invaluable source of radar evaluation knowledge and expertise for the squadron. As the authority on the ARSR-search radar, he was responsible for its successful integration at Mt. Kaala, Hawaii. When the beacon system and interface equipment were not functioning properly, he was able to determine the problems and suggest and implement corrective action. Sergeant Ordway was able to provide critical maintenance training to site personnel in Hawaii and Mt. Laguna, Calif., as well as sharing his By 1st Lt.
