Show October Shendow .named vop lifter; Hill The Hill AFB Powerlifting Team opened its season of competition recently at the Southern Idaho Powerlifting Championships in Jerome, Idaho. Lifters from four states converged on this small southern Idaho community for a full day of strength testing. Six lifters represented the Hill team. Lynda Chicado lifted in the women's division and registered a squat of 215 pounds and a personal record deadlift of 265 pounds. Ron Helms from the Hospital took third division with a total of place in the 820 pounds and Gene Martinez from the 388th TFW totaled 890 pounds in the division. Barlow is the first member of a Utah sports car club to win a national championship in the Solo 2 series. Her former credits include class champion of Southern Pacific Divisional Championships for 1979 and 1980 and numerous Driver of the Year awards from local sports car club activities. The Solo 2 is an autocross event which is designed to measure driver skill.
