Zaniboni, the division is in the Directorate of Distribution and has approximately 180 people currently assigned in five branches. A brief article doesn't tell the full story of the organization, but does serve to highlight the major role of the division. The Shipping and Receiving Branch (DSYA), as the name implies, is responsible for correctly receiving and transmitting various types of munitions and components not only on Hill, but throughout the entire Air Force. A further responsibility is to insure that all DoD, DoT and required safety standards are met in the packing and unpacking of explosive items. STAMPSTRAPP is the acronym for the Standard Air Munitions Package - Standard Tank Rack Adapter, Pylon Package Branch (DSYB). The branch is unique. Only one other installation within the Air Force has a similar STAMP-STRAP- P mission. CURRENT VEHICLE and equipment status, as well as munitions status, division safety, supply and administration fall within the area of DSYO. This branch is the nerve center of the division. responsibility to maintain constant readiness in support of the Air Force bare-bas- e concept. A current, correct supply of munitions and components is constantly maintained to uphold and support a bare base program until nornial munitions supply channels could be established. OFTEN, AN UNSERVICEABLE piece of Air Force weaponry is rejected and deemed In unserviceable in the field. DSYR is tasked with making required corrections and modifications and returning the once unserviceable item to the Air Force inventory as an effective piece of equipment, thus saving the Air Force, as well as the taxpayers, many dollars. The mission of this branch is to store and maintain sufficient quantities of serviceable weapons to support the worldwide Air Force mission.
