Show - 'Come one, come all' June they came, had a ball! HILL TOP TIMES 10, 1977 Page pWiMUWiJiWMji!ll!iJ'iiJWU.iOi.B 21 By Sgt. Tony T. Langston The Youth Activities fund-raisin- g carnival last Saturday was a big success in many ways. . . moneywise, yes, but FUN-wis- e as well. About 300 young Hill people took part in such carnival activities as dart games, sponge throw, ring toss, and cake-wal- just to mention a k, few. Many of the older kids operated carnival fun booths themselves for the younger children. Oh, but the best part was FOOD! Everywhere you turned, pies, cakes, cookies, hot dogs, and prizes for the winners (and every child there was a winner). Even with the temperature in the 90s, the day was not as bright as the smiles the children carried to the carnival. The Youth Center, under direction of Mr. Ronald Trussell and staff member Sgt. Tony T. Longston, wishes to acknowledge and thank Mrs. Sheila Cole, organizer, and to extend appreciation also to Mrs. Connie Bare, Mrs. Barbary Schneidewend, Mrs. Peggy Scott and Mrs. Pat Moore. if f : V 5 0 i i I Vs - READY FOR RESCUE We showed you half of the new lifeguard team on the front page, now meet the second one -Kathy Coryell.
