There will be a 50 second penalty if the next rider (waiting between the fault and starting line) starts before the tail of the previous horse crosses the finish line. No penalty will be assessed if barrel is knocked over. There will be a 50 second penalty if the person to be picked up is not on the back of the horse when the rider and horse cross the finish line. The person that is picked up must be on the back of the horse 100 feet after they are picked up. Hill participants are: Joe iiKWWii (Li and one person standing directly behind the barrel to be picked up. The rider will line up between the fault line and the starting line. At a given signal the rider will race 200 feet, passing to the left or right of barrel, pick up the person to be rescued and return to the finish line. This is continued title on July 7th. Hill AFB had bowed to Depot riders on June 30th and hosted them and the Sheriff's Posse to a breakfast following the race on the 7th. Col. James M. Hall Jr. had been on hand to receive the bag in Hill's bid for victory and the colonel pitched in to help cook the eggs along with the Hill riders. Kerry Olsen, Ten Mile Race Chairman, summed up the feelings of all who participated by stating, "Yes we lost, but it was still a lot of , There will be three men from HAFB and three men from DDO in the chutes at the same time.
