He resides in Layton and serves the area from Centerville to South Ogden. Sergeant Underwood, who also has 14 Vz years service, is from Whitefish, Mont. He resides on base with his wife and four children, and serves the area from North Ogden to the Idaho border. Of the over 100 persons they have recruited in the Air Force, approximately 20 have been women, they reported. "We would like to give special service to Hill AFB personnel," they noted. "If you have any relatives or friends who are interested in an Air Force career, we will be happy to explain our outstanding," Sergeant Brunson said. "The chances for travel, meeting interesting people, and getting involved are very numerous," Sergeant Underwood pointed out. The men operate their office in room 287, Main Post Office Building, at 24th and Grant, from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. They are always willing to answer questions and explain to potential volunteers about a life with the Air Force. They work closely with high school and college officials, community leaders and news media. Recruiting duty is a voluntary assignment.
