This statement came from Helen Wohl. testing monitor for Military Personnel.who has snent most of her professional life assisting Air Force members wih their career pns. She finds it not only personally stimulating but gratifying. Mrs. Wohl came to this base in 1951 as secretary to the chief of the Military Personnel Division. Her secretarial skills had been honed in the office of the late Senator Wayland Brooks while she was a Washington resident. Having also had a federal position with the Civil Aeronautics Administration in Chicago, and a short period of school teaching in Ogden and Dais Counties, she found in Military Personnel exactly the kind of activity that interested her. In 1955 when the Air Force Academy and Air Crew Examining Centers were established, and later set up at Hill AFB, Mrs. Wohl was promoted and reassigned to the center with responsibility for urocessinc Air Force Academy candidates and other applicants, civilian and military, for the Air Force officer commissioning programs. In recent years West Point and Annflnolis candidates have also been processed through the Militarv Personnel Division, coming from Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, Nevada and Montana mainly. Two years ago Mrs. Wohl was promoted aerain. and given the additional duties of handliner the Military Personnel Testing Program in the Caepr Control Branch. She administers a'l Air Force tests to militarv personnel as well as carrying out other administrative duties The tests include the Specialty Knowledge Test CSKT). Promotion Fitness Examination and officer qualifying tests among others. Helen Wohl takes such positive enjovment in counseling voung people, and seeing them develop their potential under training, that she looks forward to doing social service work after retiring. That time, however, is far off. The winning unit is determined by a percentage of completion rate as applied to unit population during a three-mon- th the top three units are as 25.1 ; 15.3. Third: 1906th AACS population 143; completions 21; percentage rate 14.6. She enjoys travel, particularly cruises on the Great Lakes and off the New England and Florida coasts. A trip to Europe is in her plans. She lives with her mother in Ogden, and is waiting impatiently for her son, Lt. Frank H. Wohl, to return from Vietnam where he volunteered for duty as a Navy legal officer.
