The 1949 season shapes up to be another closely contested year, with almost every team in the league capable of copping the championship. Nephi, Heber and Spanish Fork have been picked by many who say they know, to be the cream of the crop. Nephi will be strong due to the factj that most of their 1948 championship team will be returning to the line up. Heber has acquired a few more players and a lot- more ex perience and will be tough, to beat. Spanish Fork is gunning to take the championship and has an experienced bunch to contend with. The other teams will be strong and it is likely that either of them Payson, Eureka, Provo, Springville or Pleasant Grove will come up with .a winning combination and whip the favorites.
