McKay, an assistant to the Council of the Twelve Apaostles of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-da- y Saints, will represent the general authorities of the Church at the Quarterly stake conference to be held Saturday evening and Sunday. The conference will start at 8 P. M. Saturday evening, when El der will conduct the McKay Priesthood leadership meeting la the Second ward chapel. At this meeting the following are ex pected o be in attendance: Stake Presidency, Stake High council, Patriarchs, Stake Clerk, Priesthood Stake Melchizedek Committee; all members and secretaries of Melchizedek Priesthood quorums; Stake mission president; Stake Aaronic Priesthood com mittee; Stake Committee for Ad ult members of the Aaronic Priest hood; Bishops; Bishops counselors. Stake Ward teaching Clerks, committees, and Aaronic Priesthood General secretaries. General sessions of the confer ence will be held at 10 a. m. and at 2 p. m. Sunday, at the Second Ward. Arrangements are being made for ample seating, with the chapel and amusement hall both utilized to give one large hall. The speaking system in the chapel will be to give those in the chapel equal opportunity to hear with those in the main portion of the conference hall. Word has been received from the University of Utah, that Corrine Paxman was one of the 50 Freshman girls to be chosen for membership of Spurs. The girls were tapped in early morning ceremonies and were feted at a breakfast at the Doll House where each girl was presented with an authentic Spur as evidence of the new rank The organization is a group. 'The girls chosen are outstanding in extracurricular activities as well as service-renrerin- g scholastic standing. Miss Paxman has been attending the U of U where she was a member of the Founders Day committee and has worked on the publication staffs.
