Show LaVcda Did you ever wonder what It (eels like to be married 50 years? Well, now I can tell you and I speak from recent experience. It's really a wonderful won-derful occasion. Yes, it's better than the first wedding, being as how that was so long ago I mabe don't remember too well. Friday afternoon a lovelyre-ceptlon lovelyre-ceptlon was held for Clark and I, our children wore responsible. respon-sible. So many of our friends and relatives called to congratulate con-gratulate us and wish us well. Being Thanksgiving Holiday, there were a lot of people out of town and so on, but we received re-ceived telephone calls and cards so we knew they remembered remem-bered us. For the friendship and love that was exhibited we are sincerely grateful. It was indeed a wonderful occasion for us. All of our children were here, LaFaun and Eldon Lovell and daughters, Veda, Beth and Karen of Eureka and another daughter and her family, George and Lynda Ipson and four children of Salt Lake, James Carlos and Ralna Bishop Bish-op and seven childrenof Cedar, David and Arlene Bishop and six children of Fallon, Nev. and their son, Denn from school in Ephriam. Jerold and Wally Bishop and four sonsof Tuscon Ariz. From out of town came three of my sisters, Reva and Albert Skidmore of Brlgham City, and part of their family, Aldeen and Seymour Nlelson of Hyrum, Peggy Windchlef and little girl Danl of Brigham City, Murial and Jim Martin and six children of Roy. Another sister and her husband, hus-band, Kirby andZeldaKirkman of Salt Lake and the third sister, sis-ter, Myrtle Troester of Mid-vale. Mid-vale. Aunts and Uncles Alt and Vanda Beck, Orem, Utah and Jesse and Ethel Hutchings of Provo. Then our dear neighbor, Sebrina Robinson and her children, chil-dren, Loren and Marie Ferre of Salt Lake, nephews, mark and Virginia Bishop, Dean and Darrell and Maurene Bishop of Sandy. Marvin and Lyle Moody of Sutherland, Garn and Manee Moody of Calif., and nieces, Lucille M. Stephensen, Las Vegas, Nev. and Lois M. Wit-son, Wit-son, Hinckley. Also all the local people who called we do appreciate all of Ray and Gloria Martin and children, Judy, Debraand Penney, Pen-ney, of Salt Lake spent Thursday Thurs-day and Friday with their parents, par-ents, David and Rose Nichols. Ralph and Margaret Nichols and boys, Brian and Bill, went ' to Salt Lake Friday and visited Margaret's folks. They returned re-turned home Sunday evening. Kim- Taylor of Las Vegas, Nev. came Wednesday and stayed until Sunday with his grandparents, Norvel and Ella ChrLstensen. Mrs. Celia Christensen spent Oishop Thanksgiving Day in Fillmore with her sister, Laura Black. Mr. and Mrs. Clead Lovell and family of five children of Salt Lake came Friday and spent the weekend with their sister, LaVene and Deon Gil-len Gil-len and family. Eldon, LaFaun and Karen Lovell of Eureka, spent Thursday Thurs-day night with Deon and LaVene La-Vene Gillen. Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Skeem went to Tooele to spend the Thanksgiving holiday with their children, Kathleen and Joe Farrls and their family and Reed and Julie Skeem and their family. Guests at the home of Eldon. s and Margene Rowley were Margene's mother, Mrs. Altco Barton and Mr. an J Mrs. Russell Russ-ell Bate man and four children. David Barton came up Sunday Sun-day to take his mother Alice Barton back to their home in St. George. Deon and LaVene Gillen served ser-ved a Thanksgiving dinner to the members of their family. Erlck and Margaret Gillen,, Colleene and John Dastrup and Mr. Dastrup of Fillmore, Deora and Jack Anderson, and Art and Madllee Grovers of Los Angeles, Calif. Mr. and Mrs. Kelly Hawley spent Thanksgiving weekend in Salt Lake with friends and relit v. '5. Dick and Sandy Wllloughby and little Chris left Saturday for Calif., they traveled along with Sandy's father and mother who were transporting atract-or atract-or on their truck, back to San Jose, Calif. Thanksgiving was celebrated In a big way down at Grandma Jensene Anderson's home. 21 members in all enjoyed a lovely dinner. Ernest and Phylis Anderson An-derson and their children, Nancy, who has been in Calif, since summer, and Coleen and her husband, David Otterstrom of Calif., Bruce and Lee Ann and little Mark of Dugway, Leona Anderson and family, and Nels and Edith Anderson of Delta, Bob and Joy Walters 1 and Tracy Hayek of Calif. The Calif, people left Sunday so It's real quiet again down there. Douglas Stanworth was home from school in Logan for Thanksgiving and he celebrated his birthday Saturday. Connard and NeRu Stanworth made a trip into Magna last FridayJhey visited withtheir. brother Ward and his wife, Janett, who is just out of the hospital after surgery, and their family. We all wish Janett a speedy recovery. Val Styler's family congregated congre-gated at his home for Thanksgiving Thanks-giving dinner. Arlyn and Mary Styler and family of Bountiful, Robert and Ellen Anderson and family of Ephriam, Arlo and Ila Messenger and family of Beaver, Ed and Nella Coplin and family and Mrs. Coplin of Fullerton, Calif, and Bp. Russell Russ-ell Styler and family of Oasis. Jennie was ill and had to stay home. Entertainment: SWEET ADELINES OF ELY AND KIRK DAVIES OF GARRISON Loren and Beulah Rowley had Thanksgiving dinner with the Grant Humphry family in Oak City. Scott and Sharon Rowley were home from school over the weekend and so was Steven and Colleen Rowley and baby of Richfield. Friday evening a few people from our community attended the ball games In Richfield. Jennie, Mike and Erma Kay Styler and Irene Stanworth, Loren and Beulah Rowley and iamlly. I don't have to tell you that our boys got beat do I? Mrs. Mandy Schneider of Fresno, Calif, is here visiting her brother Oscar and his wife Inez, also her sister, Blah Sjostrom and husband Htlding. Mandy Is on her way back from new Jersey where she visited her son and family. Michel Moody from BYU visited his grandparents Oscar and Inez Kelly over the holidays. holi-days. Ladd and Ann Kelly and three children of Riverton spent Thanksgiving with parents, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Kelly. Hllding and Biah Sjostrom spent Thanksgiving day inHol-den inHol-den with their daughter, Virgie and John Murry and family. Marcus and Mar go Skeem and little Jennifer of Salt Lake an Ken, of Logan, Chris, of Cedar were all home with their parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Arlo Skeem and sister, Jidy. Harold Skeem had dinner with them too on Thanksgiving. It was a wonderful day of visiting and eating. Before the folks left to go home, Blair showed slides of wild life, vegetation, and the surrounding country from helicopter of the area where he worked this past summer on a geological survey in the North most part of Canada. Miss Peggy Shafer of Baltimore, Balti-more, Maryland, spent the holiday weekend at the homeof S. 0 Stoddard. They all traveled to Calif, together, they visited the Paul Robison's in Brae, Calif, and in Torence Calif, with Mrs. Borton's son. Mrs. Bortonwill fly back to her home in Mich, soon. Six members of the Henry Hansen family (all of their family) and some friends of Margaret, Mr. and Mrs. Rudy Kooch of Canada, all met together to-gether to celebrate Thanksgiving Thanks-giving at the 2nd Ward Thursday, Thurs-day, they had an enjoyable time and visit, and a delicious dinner together. Five grandchildren, grand-children, children of George and Carol Hatch of Salt Lake are spending the weekend in Delta at the Henry Hansen home. Guests for Thanksgiving at the David Olson home Thursday were Katberlne's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hess of Plymouth, Utah and Mrs. Olson, David's mother and his family. Mid-vale, Mid-vale, Utah. Mr. Olson, David's father was unable to come because be-cause he has the flu. They had a fine time together. Mr. and Mrs. Chad Spor made a trip to Texas during the Thanksgiving holiday, they also took their son, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Spor of Provo with them. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Barben and five children of Marys-vale, Marys-vale, Utah and Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Barben and two children chil-dren of Idaho Falls, Idaho, visited their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Archie Barben for two days during the Thanksgiving holiday. They had a family dinner, Thursday, with turkey and all the trimmings. Mr. and Mrs. Laurence Bennett also ate Thanksgiving dinner with the Barben family. They all had an enjoyable visit together. Visiting for Thanksgiving at .the John Alfred Adams home were their son, Nolan of Salt Lake and Verdella's brother, Mr. and Mrs. David Sheldon and two daughters, Kathleen and Janene all of Bountiful, Utah. Mr. and Mrs. Arland Peterson, of Pleasant Grove was also there. It was held at the Sevllla Reception Center, a very beautiful place. They received many lovely gifts and best wishes. Mr. and Mrs. John : Peterson had a granddaughter married in September. Mary Lynn Petersen Peter-sen of Walla Walla, Wash., daughter of the late Leland and Rayola Peterson . They are now in Portland, Oregon going to school. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Jeffery came back to Delta to spend the remainder of the weekend with Keith's parents, then they returned to Ogden Sunday as Keith is attending Weber State College. Mr. and Mrs. Scott Chesley spent the Thanksgiving holiday holi-day in Stockton, Calif, with their daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Don DaGrade and Mlchell and Stacy. FSB Pacific Tour Slated Plans are being finalized for the First Security Bank Pacific Paci-fic Trails agricultural tour scheduled Feb. 27 - March 7. The tour wl'l visit cattle ranches, dairies, feedlotoper-atlons, feedlotoper-atlons, and other agricultural enterprises along a routh which has stops scheduled at both Elko and Las Vegas, Nev.; Sacramento, Monterey, Santa Barbara and Anaheim, Calif. Highlights of the tour include visits to some of the oldest and largest ranches in Calif, a stop at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, the San Simeon Ranch and excursions to Disneyland Dis-neyland and Catalina Island. Tentative plans call for buses to originate at six Utah locations, loca-tions, Cedar City, Monticello, Vernal, Spanish Fork, Logan and Nephl. The buses will congregate con-gregate In Salt Lake City the morning of Saturday Feb. 27 and proceed to Elko, Nev. Max Thomas, senior vice president, First Security Bank of Utah, N. BLM Reclasses Millard Land After recievlng nearly unanimous unan-imous approval from the public-the public-the Bureau of Land Management Manage-ment has classified 310,000 acres of land In Sanpete, Juab, Millard and Sevier counties for retention in federal ownership own-ership for management under multiple use management but multiple use principles. Robert D. Nlelson, BLM state director for Utah, said only one objection was received and it was not against multiple use management but expressed concern about restrictions that may limit transfer of public land into private ownership. Within the classification, 740 acres were segregated against all forms of appropriation, entry, en-try, location or selection. Glad to see and visit with them again. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Boothe and Kay Lynn made a trip to Calif, to have Thanksgiving with their daughter, Linda. They stayed the weekend. Linda is teaching school there. Mr. and Mrs. Jay Shurtz and family and Mr. and Mrs.Elden Shurtz and family spent Thanksgiving in Fillmore with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Josh Robison. Sunday night the program was given by the Leo Davis family, talks were given by Margaret Gillian and Patrice Bishop a song by Margaret Gillian and Gloria Willday, a duet by Margaret Mar-garet Gillian and Patrice Bishop, Bish-op, accompanied by Emily Young.
