This program will be seen Wednesday, Dec. 9, 1970 at 7:30 p.m. on Channel 7, KUED. It Is approximately 29 minutes long. Sincerely - Clark and LaVeda Bishop Many people enjoyed the Christmas Fair that was held on Nov. 12 at the Deseret Stake House. It was sponsored by the Stake Relief Society and the Extension Service. All wards participated in It and a highlight was a beautifully beauti-fully decorated Christmas tree displaying pictures of the Cutler Henrle family. There were Ideas for the Nursery class to be used throughout the year. Another highlight was the Bridal Corner, with several wedding dresses and brides maid dresses being exhibited. Demonstrations were presented pre-sented throughout the day. Refreshments Re-freshments of cookies and punch were served to all present. pre-sent. Recipe booklets will be mailed to those who requested them. . We hope to continue this Christmas Ideas Fair each year and Invite all members of Millard County to participate. Rev- UP&L GIVES LIGHT TO HOLIDAY SEASON Now that the colorful downtown down-town Christmas lights have been turned , on, it's official. The holiday season is here. And according to a longstanding long-standing custom, Utah Power and Lti'it Co. again will furnish free electricity to light holiday decorations installed on city streets and parks in the communities com-munities where UP&L's distribution dis-tribution lines run. The Christmas gift is available avail-able between dusk and midiii:?v. from Nov. 28 to Jan. according accord-ing to Jay Gardner, Telluride Division Manager. He said that the company will run necessary service wires to connected installed in-stalled lights to the utility lines. Free Christmas lighting to communities sor di?r;Uy by the company is a tradition with UP&L. Last year, the utility provided 374,000 kilowatt-hours of free electricity to illuminate 181,000 holiday bulbs in 148 cities and towns. For a unique 'starter" serve: ! Hearty Holiday Brunch Combine 4 cups (32 oz.) unsweetened pineapple juice with 4 cups (32 oz.) apple juice and 1 can (6 oz.) frozen lemonade concentrate, con-centrate, thawed. Slowly add Tha Uncola, chilled. Pour into large pitcher. Add ice cubes. Makes 40 (4 oz.) servings. Upside-Down Caramel Puffs 13 cup brown sugar, Vi cup chopped pecans firmly packed W2 cups biscuit mix 2 tablespoons butter or 1 tablespoon sugar margarine V2 cup The Uncola 14 teaspoon cinnamon 1 egg, slightly beaten Heat oven to 400F. Mix first 4 ingredients to form a smooth paste. Press about 1 teaspoon of mixture into bottom of 12 greased muffin cups; sprinkle with pecans. Combine bisimit mix and sugar; add The Uncola and eggs; mix well. Fill muffin cups full. Bake 15 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from oven. Invert pan onto waxed paper. Serve warm. Makes 12 puffs. Complete brunch with Creamed Eggs in Sausage Ring, Date-Nut Date-Nut Loaf, Prune Rolls. MR. LAWRENCE V. ALDER GROCERS NAME NEW DIRECTOR Lawrence W. Alder, Woods Cross, Utah has been named Executive Director of the Utah Retail Grocers Association, according to Ralph Miller. Jr., Moab, Association President. ' Mr. Alder will succeed H. Vern Brazell who has accepted a position with anatlonalorgani-z anatlonalorgani-z at ion. Mr. Alder, who has been Director Di-rector of Services for the Utah Retail Grocers Association for the past six years, will assume his new position effective Nov. 16. The Utah Retail Grocers Association, formed in 1924,1s one of Utah's largest and oldest trade associations and represents repre-sents the food retailers of the state. The Utah Retail Grocers Association is affiliated with the National Association of Retail Re-tail Grocers of the United States (NARGUS) and so offers representation on local, state and national levels, says Mr. Miller. Mr. Alder will direct all activities of the organization, organiza-tion, be responsible for the services now offered to member mem-ber food retailers and will be editor of the Intermountain Food Retailer magazine. Mr. Alder attended Salt Lake City schools and attended the University of Utah on a Rotary scholarship, where he obtained a marketing degree In 1956. He married the former Carolyn Ranck in 1953.
