Show Hinckley ELAINE HARDY Gwen Skeem, daugher of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Skeem, left Thursday morning for Provo where she met her cousin, Kathy Murray, who has been attending BYU. They went to Kathy's home In Portland, Ore. and where Gwen will spend the summer. sum-mer. Kathy is the daughter of Elva's sister, Ardis Murray. Teresa Meinhardt left Thursday to return to her home in Salt Lake after spending the past two months with us and attending school. Lars and Deon Bishop of Payson visited with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Heber Bishop. Clara and Steve Posey have returned re-turned to their Castro Valley, Calif, home after visiting with her parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Carpenter. Carpen-ter. Fannie Lee Hilton has gone to Colorado with Ross and Valeda Hilton. Mrs. Arvilla Swensen returned this week after visiting in Calif, with her sister, Elma. Weekend visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry King were Mr. and Mrs. Jay Cash, Salt Lake; Mr. and Mrs. C. D. King and Richard, Granger and Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Stewart, Springville. Marge and Lee Judd attended the wedding reception of a niece, Lyla Lee Wheeton in Orem last weekend. Lyla Lee is the daughter of the Clifton Wheetons, former residents. The Meron Petersen's yard is just gorgous right now as is the iris garden at the Heber Bishop home. The Vern Coltrells visitied with Mr. and Mrs. L. R. Swensens this week from Nevada. Tim and Gwen Anderson and two children are living in the former Vi Rolrison home now. The Calvin Skeem family of Mid-vale Mid-vale visited with Alice Bliss and his family in Oasis for the holiday weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Peterson spent the weekend in Manti and Ephriam. Visiting the Manti Temple Friday were Bp. and Mrs. Leonard Palmer and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Manis. Attending the weekend horse races at Payson were Grant Hardy, Mr. and Mrs. Cluff Talbot, Lynn Talbot, Zane Crafts, Betty and Steven Talbot. Dan Irish and some of his family of Calif, were here for the weekend. Alta Barney spent part of the week with her daughter and family, fam-ily, Verna Taylor. Visiting the Ren Taylor home during the weekend were Lola Steele of Goshen and her daughter, daugh-ter, Pat and family of Springville; Maude McDonald, her daughter, Virginia Smith and son, Jimmy, Granger; Mr. and Mrs. Paul Warren, War-ren, Springville and Mrs. Warren's brother, Amon Johnson, Sutherland. Visiting with Clara Stewart was her son, Reed, Magna. Mrs. Betty Talbot is the Sports Director of YWMIA. Assisting her will be Verlene Williams. Paul Anderson, returned missionary mission-ary to Chile and his mother, Mrs. Macel Anderson, presented the program in church Sunday night. Fred and Margene Anderson and family came to hear Paul speak. Visiting with Arvilla Workman during the weekend were Mr. and Mrs. Carlyle Reeve. Mr. and Mrs. Mark Reeve, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Johns, all Salt Lake and Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Soffee and daughter of Provo; Velma, Virginia and Genevieve Terry, Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Wood of Holden visited the Carl Hardy home Sunday afternoon. Here to see Lee and Lois Wilson on the weekend were her sister, Lucille and husband of Las Vegas and her son, Leon and his wife, Sherry and three children of Salt Lake. Neil and Janice Larsen and family fam-ily were here to see Neil's parents, Oleta and Randle Swensen, Dick and Diane Mecham and Janice's folks.. SECOND WARD AREA HEWS BRIEFS EDDYS Mrs. LaVonne Morrison and Mrs. Adrian Hansen drove to Provo Friday Fri-day to attend the BYU graduation exercises where Dorothy Morrison Hansen received her Master's Degree. De-gree. Dorothy has been teaching English at the BYU and was one of the 3,128 graduaates this year from the BYU. Mr. and Mrs. David Sheldon and family of Salt Lake were visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Alfred Adams over the weekend. They enjoyed a nice trip and picnic sightseeing in the west mountains. They also visited the monument to show where Father Escalante passed in 1776, The Great Stone face, Old Mud Fort and enjoyed the fresh air and beautiful day. Mr. Sheldon is a brother to Mrs. Verdella Adams. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Gardner and family of Farmington, Ut., spent Friday and Saturday with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Gardner. Monday, June 1st, Mrs. Eugene Beck, (Joan Ball), granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Gardner and three daughters of Los Angeles came for a visit of a few days with her grandparents.
