Bassett, Chairman) ELAINE HARDY Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Morris returned re-turned from their trip to Washington, Washing-ton, Jan Morris, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Morris was home from beauty school in Salt Lake. The Coil Dutson family celebrated celebrat-ed Barbara's birthday last week. Her grandma and grandpa Dutson came over and enjoyed birthday cake with the family. The Rook Club was entertained by Mrs. Vi Robinson Wednesday evening at her home. Present were Faun Dillenbeck, Belva Morris, Er-ma Er-ma Cropper, Beryl Hardy, Thora Petersen, Ruth Talbot, Dorothy Damron, Nina Mecham, Oleta Swen son, Clara Stewart, Arvilla Swen-son. Swen-son. Guest were Becky Schena, An-Kie An-Kie Cahoon, Sharon Western, Na Rae Peterson, Elaine Hardy. Prizes were won by Arvilla, 1st; Thora, 2nd; Becky, low; Guest, Sharon Western; Grand slam, Belva and Erma. Mrs. Enid Damron was home from Cedar City over the weekend. She attended the funeral of Carl's nephew, David Bohn. The Waldo Warnick family have a foster daughter, Cecilia Pino, now living with them. She had been living liv-ing with the Ben Stephenson family fam-ily in Lynndyl. Howard Hardy and Don Morris went to Nephi last Thursday night to attend a Lions Club meeting. Howard Roundy of Oasis accompanied accomp-anied them. Mrs. Evonne Greener has returned return-ed from a stay of over a week in Las Vegas. She got back Monday of last week. She stayed with her brother and wife, Mr. and Mrs. 0. H. Stout. He is a 32nd degree Mason. Ma-son. Ev reports that the Chronicle is read by a lot of people there. Walter Ekins purchased a new car recently. The death of the baby boy of Gerald and Mary Skeem Wednesday, Wednes-day, Oct. 12, saddened everyone. Our sympathy is extended to them in thek loss. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Judd and Sher-lene Sher-lene and Sharilyn Hardy went to Re-elect . . . Lee and Lois Wilson drove down Monday from Tod Park. They had been to Las Vegas to see daughter daugh-ter Kathryn and family and Lois' sister, Lucille Stevenson and husband. hus-band. She visited with me Tuesday afternoon. They returned home on Tuesday. Thora Petersen was hostess to her Bridge Club Thursday of last week. Members present were Romania Ro-mania Bird, Nell Callister, Alma Petersen, Lyle Moody, Joy Morrison, Callie Morrison, Becky Schena. Attending At-tending at guests were Vi Robinson, Robin-son, Ruth Talbot, Mavis Hardy, Dorothy Damron, NaRae Peterson. 1st prize winner was Lyle; 2nd, Dorothy; Low, Alma. Mrs. Delma Jean Galli is to be commended on her service and a-ward a-ward she received recently at the 4-H Award Night held at the Stake House recently. She received a 10-year 10-year service award. Also, Kathy Dutson and Randy Morris received First Security Bank Awards. This is a fine accomplishment. Kathy is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Dutson. Randy is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Morris. Ken Damron is working in Tooele. Too-ele. He was home from Friday to Sunday and attended the funeral of David Bohn. Mr. and Mrs. Jeddie Judd and family of Fillmore were visitors at the Lee Judd home, Thursday. Walter and Roma Ekins drove to Lake Tahoe last week, where Walter Wal-ter attended a Highway 50 Convention. Con-vention. From there they went to Atwater, Calif, to see their daughter, daugh-ter, Carma and Bob Wright and son. They spent two days there and returned home by way of Yosem-ite, Yosem-ite, arriving home Friday. Mrs. Cherie Morris was in Fillmore, Fill-more, Monday, on business. Leslie Diehl of Salt Lake came down for the weekend to attend the funeral of her cousin, David Bohn. Sherlene Judd went to Fillmore Saturday. Terrie and Bobby Meinhardt were here Sunday at the Grant Hardys. Heber Bishop has had a severe eye infection. We hope he will soon be better. Mrs. Edith Dennison, recuperating recuperat-ing at home from back surgery, has had her daughter, Vilate of Salt Lake here to help her. Sunday, another daughter, Mrs. Theo Ellis and children came to see the Den-nisons Den-nisons and are spending several days here. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Meinburg and daughter of Salt Lake, were Sunday Sun-day visitors at the Marion Dillenbeck Dillen-beck home. Cleo Damron of Calif., brother of Ken and Carl, was u pfor the funeral fun-eral of David Bohn. Loren and Doyle Dutson spent a day and night at Trout Creek for some fishing. Dick Mecham is home from the Navy on leave. Last week I reported report-ed he was in the Marines. Darrell and Alice Gaye Scow were down over the weekend from Logan. They returned home Sunday Sun-day afternoon. Cheryl Mortensen and Marilyn Mace made the trip with them. Mrs. Alice Bliss is spending two days in Salt Lake. Visitors ft th Don A. Bishi' last week were two sisiers o." M:s. Bishop's, Hazel Whitehead and son Ferron of Calif., and Mildred and Bill Jacobson of Orem. Also, spending spend-ing the weekend were Mr. and Mrs. Theo Corey and daughter Joette, of Cedar City. Marriann Taylor and Debra Palmer Pal-mer were hostesses at a pot-luck costume party to a group of little friends at Merriann's home Wednesday, Wed-nesday, Oct. 12. They played some game and had a spook alley, ate pot-luck and told stories. Mrs. Zoia Bunker arrived home Thursday from Frederick, Maryland, Mary-land, where she has been staying with her son and family, Dr. Reed C. Bunker, for the past 3 months. Reed and wife are happy parents of a new baby girl, born Sept. 16. She weighed 8 lbs. 6 oz. and was blessed Oct. 9 and given the name of Sherry Ann. Zola, at present, is staying in Delta with her sister, Mrs. Vilda Perkins. After severel days here and in Delta, she will go to Idaho to see her daughter, Julene and family, then to Nevada, where her daughter Bonnie and family live. Later she will travel to Colton, Calif., for a stay with her son and wife Linda. Mr. and Mrs. Cluff Talbot are announcing the marriage of their son Carl and Linda Aggas. They were married at the LDS Church in Oxnard, Calif., Tuesday, Oct. 11. A reception followed at the home of the bride. Ruth and Cluff were present for the marriage ceremony and the reception. While in Calif., they visited the Naval Missle Center Cen-ter at Point Mugu, where Carl, an Air Crew Safety Man, is stationed. Carl and bride are in Hinckley for a visit of several days, and will return re-turn home this weekend. Visitors at the Waldo Warnick home Saturday and Sunday, were Alta's brother and sisters and families fam-ilies of Salt Lake. Saturday, her sister, Alma Edwards, came down and Sunday her brother and family, fam-ily, Luther and Helen Edwards and sons, Hal and Richard also Mol-lie Mol-lie and Cullen George were here to see Alta and family. Mrs. Lillian Taylor went to Los Angeles for a week's visit with Laurie and Allen and her granddaughter, grand-daughter, Eileen and mother, Marian Mar-ian Nolda. Mr. and Mrs. Ren Taylor and Ralph went to Pleasant Grove to visit their son Van, for a couple of days. Van had just had an operation. opera-tion. George and Bertha Barton from Midvale were visitors at the Harold Har-old Morris' and Cluff Talbots last week, for a few days. Blaine Spendlove of Kaysville spent a day or so in Hinckley on the weekend with friends and relatives. rel-atives. Ted and a friend were here also. Mr. and Mrs. Steve Searle and son Clay of Bountiful came down to attend the funeral of Steve's cousin, David Bohn. He returned home and Linda Lue is remaining for a visit of several days with her parents, the Lynn Talbots. Dave Buchanan of Salt Lake visited with the Grant Hardys, Saturday Sat-urday dnd Sunday. Floyd Taylor and family have been visiting with Floyd's mother Mrs. Reva Taylor. Please call your news to me at 6892 or wite it and hand it to me. Weekend visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Warner were their daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Matthews and 4 children, child-ren, Kim, Warner, Lori and Todd, of Kearns. Also, here Sunday, were Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Hogan of Og-den, Og-den, Mr. Warner's sister. Mr. Beckstrand served as technician for Cache Valley Breeding Association for eleven years. He was Laboratory technician for Utah State Dept. of Highways for l'-i years. Mr. Beckstrand is operating a farm at the present time. He is active in church and civic affairs and is currently serving as Bishop Bish-op of the Meadow Ward.
