They were on their way from Calif, where they had visited with relatives. Mrs. Templin Is a sister to Bill Jacobson. Bill as all -will recall, was a former resident of this locality, and a brother-in-law to Mr. Wind. They had not seen the Templins in 40 years.. Gay and Leon Suchey and Dana Kay Ogden of Salt Lake were visitors visit-ors of their parents and to visit with Roger before he left for the prmod forces. Roger left on Monday for his call to duty. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Johnson (Fffie) were here from Calif, to visit with their mother, Mrs. Hettie Johnson end other members of the Johnson families, Lester and Betty and fam uy, Max and Delia and family, and Bert and Nina and family. They went to Provo on Friday to see tho game. Mr. and Mrs. Neal Haynes and little daughter Kim were here over the weekend to visit with their folks Bishop and Mrs. Ferrell Walk er, and to see their grandmother Mrs. Josie Walker, who. has been ill far sometime. J. Grant Moody and Kay and Ann ette Christensen from the Y, and Laura Moody from Snow were here over the weekend to visit with the Moodys, Dean, Kim, Marie, Evelyn David and Margaret. Susan Lyman and her friend from the Y were here over the weekend to see their folks, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Lyman, Karl, Ray LouAnn and Carol. Mrs. Jerri Sheehy and children of Salt Lake spent some time with their mother and grandmother Mrs Mary Johnson. The course 10 Sunday School class held a party at the ward cultural hall on Saturday with most o" the class members participating. Games were under the supervision of Shauna Johnson and the food was supervised by Elizabeth Fowles Those in attendance were Sydney Mortensen, Mark Turner, Scott Rob ison, Scott Bassett, Kim Moody, Gor rY tu r ou-..., Johnson, Elizabeth Fowles and Dora Rose their instrustor. We will see some new tenents in the residence of the DeVon Petersons. Peter-sons. The Peterson family have moved to Delta and have purchased the home of the late Mrs. Carrie Clark. The new residents residing in their stead will be Lon and Ned-ira Ned-ira Jackson. Mrs. Nina Johnson spent some time in Spanish Fork last week with the children of her daughter Delia and Kenneth May. One son Douglas had some surgery again and we hope will be successful. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Witbeck and children were here last week to visit with their mother Mrs. Mary Johnson. Lewis and Annette Rawlinson were here to see their folks, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Rawlinson, Kim and Dane. Lewis from Logan and Annette Ann-ette from Cedar City. Mr. and Mrs. Ronald (Cherril) Mecham and children of Orem and Mrs. Arlene DeLew and three children child-ren of Salt Lake came to see their brother Roger before his departure for the service, and to visit their folks the Ivo Ogdens. It was nice to see Dick Talbot in our vicinity again. He informed me that he passes our place all the time but has no horn so can't let us know about his passing. Michael and Elaine Rose were here to attend the funeral for David Bohn. Also to attend were: Mr. and Mrs. James Brady uncle of David's of Henderson, Nev., Mr. and Mrs. Sam Taylor, Tempe, Ariz, an aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Meivin Beckstead of Richfield, Mr. and Mrs. James E. Twitchell and son of Orem, Mrs. Rhoda Terry, her daughter and grandchildren of Nev., Mrs. Adeline Petty and son Kevin of Salt Lake, Mrs. Louise Holt of Murray, Mr. Peter V. Twitchell and Mrs. Barbara Hamblin ofOgden, Mrs. Edna Mae Wilde of Orem, all cousins. Mrs. Edna Penrod, Mr. and Mrs. Eph-raim Eph-raim Twitchell of Orem, uncle and aunt, also an Uncle Kleve Damron of Calif., Mr. and Mrs. .Archie Sear l'1 and sons and their wives of Bountiful. David's Uncle Reid who is stationed in Veit Nam at the pre sent time could not be here but sent his love and sympathy to the family. Mr. and Mrs. Reid Tippets made a trip to see their son who is attend ing Dixie College. They took him over to Hurricane to visit with their mother and grandmother, Mrs. Eliza bcth Tippetts. They report Mrs. Tip pctts to be in very good condition. Elder Wayne Edwards gave his mission report on Sunday. Those who came from out of town were: Mr. and Mrs. Howard Edwards. Mrs, Margaret Edwards also came to liter Wayne but before time for the report she fell and had the misfor tune of breaking her shoulder so could not be there. However there was a tape recording so she will be able to hear it from that. Wayne will be leaving for the armed ser vices soon. Mrs. Wanda Beckwith and Mr. and Mrs. Meirill and Evan Edwards of Delta were here for Wayne's report, also Mr. and Mrs. Ltwis Overson and son Keith of Lynndyl and Mrs. Inez Riding and daughter of Delta. Many more whose names I was unable to secure. se-cure. Mr. Lowell Edwards and Way Laura Moody is taking violin Instructions In-structions from Dr. Richard Nibley at Snow College. Richard Adams and Lee Tippetts have joined up with and helped to organize a musical group at the Dixie College. They have done extensive ex-tensive practicing and hope to do great things as they go along. Second Ward News EDDYS BARBEN Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Black spent three days fishing down to Otter Reservoir. They report the fish were really plentiful and thoy had very-good very-good luck catching them. President and Mrs. June Black spent the weekend in Provo visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Robison and family. While they were visiting, visit-ing, Mrs. Black's sisters all came and surprised her on her birthday with an enjoyable birthday party and visit. Those present were: Doro thy Parry and her daughter Marcia of Granger, Biilie Pronk of Salt Lake , Marcia Berryman and daugh ter-in-law, Joan of Murray, Kath-ryn Kath-ryn Reid of Snlt Lake. Also while the Black's were in Provo, they visit with Mr. and Mrs. Ted Bennett, in! the beautiful new home on Canyon Can-yon Road. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. S. Bassett and Mrs. Eva Holt received a very nice thank you note from Mrs. Hampton, thanking her for a lovely handkerchief, made by Mrs. Holt and presented to Mrs. Rampton at a Fine Arts Guild meeting held In Delta last week. Mr. and Mrs. Owen Holt spent Thursday in Salt Lake and had a doctor's checkup while there. Visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Cameron Adams Sunday and attending Sacrament meeting were: Mr. and Mrs, Frank Adams of Kearns, Miss Jovene Adams and friend Mike Stead of Salt Lake, Mr. and Mrs. Orrie Huff and family of Spanish Fork, Mrs. Ethyl Perry (Nor ma Adams's mother) of Farming-ton, Farming-ton, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Perry and family and their daughter, Mr. end Mrs. Don Woodward of Kays-ville, Kays-ville, and Mr. and Mrs. Louis Camp bell and family also of Kaysville. Mrs. Cameron Adams spent Monday Mon-day in Salt Lake with her mother, Mrs. Ethyl Perry. She took her son Nathan with her. Mrs. Bud Richardson of Garrison, visited with Arch and Eddys Barben Sunday afternoon. Miss Margaret Hansen and her two roommates, Miss Archibald and Miss Byrd spent the weekend in Delta with Margaret's family. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hansen spent Monday in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Miller road to Grantsville Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Cleo Whicker. There they visit Nielson and other members of hei-ed hei-ed Mrs. Miller's sister Mrs. Amanda family. SHOP AT HOME SHOP THE ADVERTISERS WITH Louise M. Lyman spent Sunday ne made a trip to Salt Lake last afternoon in Nephi. They went to week to attend to some business Reports were that LeRay Jackson, Jack-son, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Jackson, passed his entrance test into law school the highest in the nation. Congradulations LeRay. Mrs. Maxine Owens made a trip to Salt Lake to visit with her mother, moth-er, Mrs. Rhoda Jackson and Mrs. Jackson's sister. Hebcr Rose and Reid Tippetts of Sutherland and Explorers Bruce Stephensen, Lynn Callister and Mark Losee of Delta made a trip to Provo to the BYU Scouting Center Cen-ter to receive more instruction about the fundamentals of Explor ing. They left on Monday evening end returned the same day. They enjoyed the trip and the instruction.
