Mr. and Mrs. Meith Ogden and sons spent last weekend in Salt Lake visiting wl.h Meith's parents, and broUii.-s and sisters. Mrs. Thirza Webb spent Thursday and Friday in Salt Lake. She visited visit-ed with her daughter, Mrs. Oneta Moffett and family. Mrs. Venice Knight and Mrs. Vi late Maxfield spent Tuesday in Provo. Miss Janice Peterson from Salt Lake was home over the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ray mond Peterson. Mr. and Mrs. LaVoy Erickson of Salt Lake spent the weekend with LaVoys parents, Mr. and Mrs. El-don El-don Erickson. Mrs. Ada Chynoweth and daughters daugh-ters of Orem are visiting her parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Dewsnup. Mr. Louis Schoenberger spent Thursday at Cedar City. Mr. and Mrs. T. B. Allred arrived home Saturday after having spent the past ten days at San Francisco with LaVern's sister, Edna and her husband. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Tate and three children of Tooele visited Sunday afternoon at the home of Mr. and Mra Doyle Mace. Mrs. Tate . and Mrs. Mace are cousins. This was their first visit here. Mrs. .Vilate Maxfield is visiting at Clearfield at the home of Mr. and Mra Boyce Flint. Mrs. Flint is the former Sidney Stratton. The February meeting of the Deseret Garden Club was iheld Saturday Sat-urday evening at the home of Fay Davis. The evening was spent in games and each member gave a article either on Lincoln, Washington Washing-ton or Valentine. Luncheon was served to nine ladies. Co-hostess .for the evening was Fern Crafts. They have Jus'., recently re-cently returned home from a labor lab-or mission in England. They tod of their many experiences they had while there. Mr. Theobald was supervisor su-pervisor for building new chapels. A musical number was a vocal sa- lo by Carol Cropper. Mrs. Edna Christensen, Mr. and Mrs. Phil Eiiason and family visited J Sunday in Salt Lake at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Sheldon Christensen. Christen-sen. A new son was born to the Christensens on February 18th. Mr. O. L. Dutson spent several days in California taking care of his bees. Mr. and Mrs. Evan Theobald of Provo visited Sunday at the home of 'Mr. and Mrs. A. T. Black. Miss Loa Rose Hansen of Ogden spent Sa urday and Sunday with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Earner Ea-rner Dewsnup. Home, also to visit with his parents, was LaMar Dewsnup Dew-snup of Bountiful. Carl Webb from CSU was home for the weekend with his parents, Spencer and Alice Webb. Darrel Scow -was home over the weekend wi.li his parents, Milden and Arpnlla Scow. Mr. and Mrs. Neil Haynes and I daughter of Nephi visited their par ents, Bishop and Mrs. Ferrell Walk- er. Mrs. Fern Foote has returned , home from California where she visited relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Vern Fowles went o Salt Lake Monday to see their tew grandson born Saturday to' .heir daughter Carol Ann and Ron-' ild Thayer of Bountiful. This makes three new grandsons for Grace and Vern in the oast six iveeks. Mrs. Eudene Parker, Tampera, Collette, Jus.in, Steven and Russell went to Delta Saturday. Mr. Boyd Tripp of Nevada came home to visit his mother. Mr. Larry Vasso and Esla Enid Stopp were in Delta to visit friends. Bill West of Ibapah was visiting the Gilbert Roseniund and Gale Parker homes. I We had some usual visitors, Pet and Duke Mr. Oliver Tripp's horses, were visiting Callao. A funeral of Dan Lee, father of Ricky and Danny Lee was held in Tooele. The persons who attended were Mrs. Leah Layland, Mrs. Leo Lee, Mrs. Gilbert Roseniund and Mr. and Mrs. Buster Timm. We offer of-fer our sympathy to Ricky and Danny Lee. Mr. and Mrs. WU1 Parker of Dug way were visiting the Dave Bagley . Ranch. Mr. Jay Janiga and Carol Russell of Salt Lake are visiting the George Rice's. After a lovely dinner served at Hatch's City Cafe, the group met at the Pearson home wnere Rebecca Schena presented an evening ev-ening of the poetry of Robert Frost and Emily Dickenson. Members present were: Alta Ash-by, Ash-by, Barbara Ashby, Deona Black, Loma Bunker, Cleo Eliason, Harriet Eliason, Lenore Gardner, EsteLe Gardner, Louise Lyman, LaRue Nickle, Orvetta Nickle, Nccma Pear Evelyn Robison, Betty Turner and Mary Wright. For the January mee ing of the club hostesses were Harriet Eliason Elia-son and LaRue Nickle. An interest ing program was given by 'Mr. and Mrs. Joe Moody with vocal solos, piano selections and story of ' The Song of Norway". JOLLY STITCHERS MEET The Jolly Stitchers Club met last Friday at the home of Hattie Harris Har-ris with Irene Little and Lola Dal- ton as co-hostesses. They went to the funeral of Lilace Christensen on Wednesday In Mayfield and stopped on their way home. Mr. and Mrs. Austin WLlden and family of Salt Lake visited with Mrs. Millie Lovell and Mr. and Mrs. Bud McCann last Saturday and Sunday. Millie Is feeling some better bet-ter but her leg back boihers her quite a bit. Her granddaughter Ellen El-len Best is staying with her. Mr. and Mrs. Bob (Jeanette) Holman Hol-man and family of Salt Lake visit-ed visit-ed with Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Nlel-son Nlel-son and family last weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Dee Bradfleld and boys of Sandy stayed at the Rand all Bradfleids last Friday and Sat urday. Dee built Erva some cup-i boards, while here, In her utlll.y room. Mr. and Mrs. Randall Bradfield attended a farewell testimonial for Elder Grant Pay of Nephi last Sunday Sun-day evening. (Grant is Erva's nephew.) ne-phew.) I want to correct a mis!ake from last week's paper. The party we had was also for Mrs. Nola Nielson. Somehow in the printing process it was left out. Eva Dutson and I attended the beautification meeting held In Delta Del-ta High School last Monday even ing. It was very interesting, espec ially when ihrns were shown of our own back yard (front, too). It doesn t look so bad until you see it on film, then It really looks terri ble. I want to thank Clyde Overson on the work he's been doing on his home here In Leamington. Its really looking good. Why don't the rest of us get busy and see If we can't do a little improving on our own. The money collected for the fireplace is put in the bank with the Veterans account in the a-mount a-mount of $87.90. If we could come to a suitable agreement on where to build it, I think it could be built in no time. They had been to Delta to see Mr. and Mrs. Anthony .(Delia) .(De-lia) Stephenson. Lydia has been staying with Marva this winter, but will come home when the weather wea-ther warms up. Mr. John Larsen, former resident of Lynndyl, died last week In Las Vegas. His funeral was held in Las Vegas a week ago last Tuesday and he was buried In Salt Lake the following day. Mr. and Mrs. Spencer Spen-cer Nielson were at the graveside services in Salt Lake.
