The teams that were part-ti9apating, part-ti9apating, were Oak City, Delta 2nd, Springville 1st and 6th, Oran- geville, Mapleton, and two teams from Spanish Fork. This is the first year that this tournament has been held and it was a big success. If it is sup ported, it will continue, and I think it is a good thing. It will give the teams something to look forward too. Springville 1st took the champ ionship when they beat Mapleton 19 to 27 Friday night. Springville 6th came in 3rd, Oak City edged Delta second, one point, to take consolation, Orangeville lost to Springville 6th, to gain 5th, and Delta 2nd, losers of Oak City-game, City-game, ended in 6th. - There were several trophies given giv-en to the various teams after the final game Friday night. Springville 1st got a big trophy for 1st place, Mapleton, their runner up, got the second place trophy, Oak City received the Consolation Con-solation trophy, and Orangeville the Sportsmanship trophy. Also there were two individual trophys given to two of the boys. One for the best player in the tournament, which went to a Springville 6th boy, and one for all around sportsmanship, which went to Max Black, of the Delta 2nd ward. These trophies were really beautiful, beauti-ful, and were worth the effort the teams put, in which to get them.
