"It was fun," said April West, PTA event organizer. With 28 campaigns represented rep-resented and 20 candidates making an appearance the event went 30 minutes overtime. Booths were set up around the perimeter of the LJHS cafeteria and voters vot-ers went from booth to booth to ask questions and talk with candidates. Supporters and representatives repre-sentatives for the campaigns cam-paigns were also there handing out campaign bro-cures bro-cures and signs. Perhaps most noteworthy notewor-thy was the appearance of Larry Ellertson with a campaign cam-paign booth. He is running uncontended for Utah County Commissioner. "It would be sad if I lost to myself," he said. West had thought meeting meet-ing the candidates would help her make up her mind as to how she would vote. "Actually, it made me more confused," West said. "They're all good people. I'm going to do more research." Those attending included includ-ed Utah State Senate district dis-trict 14 incumbent John Valentine and contender Carilee C. Harper, state treasurer incumbent Edward T. Alter, Utah House of Representatives district 56 incumbent David Cox, candidate David Bonner and write-in candidate candi-date Craig Laurence, U. S. congressional district 3 incumbent Chris Cannon, contenders Beau Babka and Ronald Winfield, State Board of Education district 12 David Adamic, Mark Cluff and write-in candidate candi-date Mike Anderson, U.S. Senate candidates R. Paul Van Dam and Gary R. Van Horn, Utah attorney general gener-al candidate Gregory G. Skordas and state auditor incumbent Auston G. Johnson John-son and Karen Hale running run-ning for Lt. Breakfast to benefit hurricane victims The Seville retirement community will help the hundreds of thousands of people affected by Hurricanes Hurri-canes Charley, Frances, Ivan and Jeanne. Management, Manage-ment, staff and residents of the community will host a pancake breakfast at the residence, 325 W. Center in Orem, to benefit the Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund on Saturday, Oct. 23, from 8 to 10 a.m. The public pub-lic is welcome, and there is no cost to attend, though a $5 donation is suggested. Additional donations will be gratefully accepted. The Red Cross has undertaken the largest response to a natural disaster dis-aster in its 123-year history. histo-ry. Through September, nearly 417,000 people affected by this disaster had resided in Red Cross shelters, and volunteers from the organization had delivered over 10.3 million meals to those in need. The Seville's parent company, Holiday Retirement Retire-ment Corp., has set a company-wide goal of raising $250,000 for the Red Cross through the month of October. Each of nearly 300 Holiday-managed communities communi-ties across North America has been asked to help meet the goal. More than 10 percent of Holiday communities com-munities were affected by this disaster, and the company's com-pany's residents, management, manage-ment, and staff are committed com-mitted to doing everything they can to help all hurricane hurri-cane victims. More information on The Seville and their participation par-ticipation in this national fundraising effort is available avail-able at 224-8044. 1 2005 Utah Valley State College WEEKEND COLLEGE ''Saturday Morning on Campus" Classes begin Saturday, January 8th 61 Saturday Classes Offered course to so SCHOOL Or Bt 'S1NKSS 15006 irniywi , 12565 ISYS I05O 5153 ISYS 1050 BM8 MOMT 2200 l33 MGMT 23 10 l34 MGMT 3600 CourM Title Credits Dy WO I W0 1 W02 W0 1 W0 1 W01 Managerial Accounting Basic Software Suite Appl Basic Software Suite Appl Written Business Comm Microeconomics Principles of Marketing Time 8:00 am -10:30 am 8:00 am- 10:30 am 10:45 am - 1:15 pm 8:O0am -10:30 am 10:45 am- 1:15 pm 8:00 am- 10:3Oam SCHOOL OF COMPUTER SCIF.NCK & KNCINKERINC 15011 CNS 1350 WO I Obj Orient Programming II ll25 CNS15IO WOI Unij Operating Systems "iW CNS 47yR WOI AdvTop NW-Adv Cisco j l5'2 ECFSH0O WOI Human Dcv i Life Span ECFS2250 W01 Marriage l6 EDEI.3I50 WOI Children's Literature StIIOOLOF IHMANITIES.
