The teams which will be affected are the Highland Bears, American Fork Redskins, American Fork Colts, Pleasant Grove Lions and the Lone Peak Knights. Players living within the neW American Fork High School boundaries will now play with one of the two American Fork teams regardless of city bound- .Those affected from Highland will play for the af Redskins and those affected from Pleasant Grove and northeast American Fork will play for the AF Colts. Fifth and sixth graders must play under the guidelines guide-lines of the new boundaries. Seventh and eighth grade players will have a choice this year to continue to play for their present team or play for their new team. "Because our little league programs feed the high schools, our board felt that we should align to the new high school boundaries," said Dave Nolan, Commissioner of the Utah Valley Football Conference. Nolan said the changes will also help to equalize the number of players on each team. Practices begin July 30 and play begins August 18. ' Sports camps upcoming The Pleasant Grove Recreation Dept. is sponsoring the following sports camps, for which registration is already underway. For more information, call 768-2134. Basketball: This clinic runs July 30 to Aug. 2. The session for grades 1-3 is from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and costs $20. For grades 4-6, the time is 8:30 to 10:30 a.m., with a fee of $25. Volleyball: The camp runs Aug. 6 to 9. Beginning players will meet from 10 a.m. to noon for a fee of $25. Intermediate players will receive instruction from 1 to 4 p.m. at a cost of $35. PG girls who will attend AFHS invited to soccer tryouts Freshman and sophomore girls residing in the new American Fork High School boundary area are invited to participate in the high school soccer tryouts on Monday from 8 to 11 a.m. Bring water, cleats and shin-guards, shin-guards, plus a ball if possible. Lehi one-pitch softball tournament This USSSA-sanctioned event is for men's class D teams and is set for Aug. 17 and 18. Teams are guaranteed guaran-teed three games. Men's fall softball league League play for the men's fall softball league based in Lehi begins Aug. 13. Games will be played on Mondays or Wednesdays. The fee is $350 per team, plus $20 if not already registered reg-istered with the USSSA. Register at the new Lehi Legacy Center, or contact Mark Hansen at 768-0253. Women's fall softball league Registration is now open for the USSA women's fall softball leagues, which will play Aug. 13 through September at Veteran's Ballpark in Lehi. A, B, C and D leagues will be offered, with proof of a championship required for the A and B divisions. Registration will be limited to the first eight teams per bracket. The fee is $300 per team, with the postseason tournament tourna-ment included. For more information or to register, call Alan at the Lehi Legacy Center (768-7124). - High school golf tryouts open Aug. 8 Tryout dates have been announced for this fall's Pleasant Grove High School golf team. The tryouts have been schedules for Aug. 8-10 at the Tri-City golf course in American Fork. The start time on Aug. 8 will be 1 or 6 p.m., depending on which is better for the competitor. That session will be spent on the driving range and putting green. Tee times will then be assigned for the next two days. The start time on Aug. 9 and 10 will be 1 p.m., and participants will play 18 holes each day. Individuals are responsible for paying for their own range balls and green fees.
