They will speak in a sacrament sacra-ment service Sunday, Aug. 27, at 10:50 a.m. in the Cedar Hills 2nd Ward, 4355 W. Cedar Hills Drive. An open house in their honor will be held Saturday, Aug. 26, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the old Manila Church, 900 W. 2600 North, Pleasant Grove. All family and friends are invited. Alvin and Elaine Alvin and Elaine Schow recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married June 14, -1950 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple'. They celebrated in June with a trip to Branson, Mo. and enjoyed the many sights and shows there. On Saturday, Aug. 19, they were honored by their children and grandchildren at a family celebration which included dinner din-ner and a video review of their lives. They were both born and raised in Lehi and graduated from Lehi High School. Alvin served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, followed by an LDS mission to New England. He graduated from BYU and spent most of his career in banking. He worked for the State Bank of Lehi and then retired from Deseret Bank in 1991, with over 30 years there. Elaine worked for several years for Dr. Eddington in Lehi. Their lives have been filled with service in the church and to others. Lynch Elder Jordan William Lynch, son of William and Lynda Lynch of Pleasant Grove, has been called to serve in the California Arcadia LDS Mission.
