Pleasant Grove Junior High holds fooddrive to help feed the hungry FFA attends leadership conference in Park City The Pleasant Grove FFA recently returned from Park City where they attended a two day leadership conference. Jones Loflin was one of the presenters at the conference. Loflin shared information on what leadership is and how to be a better leader. Although the conference was lightly attended, it was very informative. The five Pleasant Grove Chapter participants not only learned much about themselves them-selves and leadership, they had a great time. Cedar Valley tti fi . . . i . . A I i Food Fun Flt By Kalyn Secretan The Pleasant Grove Jr. High Student Council was seen busily busi-ly moving a cart from room to room collecting cans and packages pack-ages of food for the food drive at the school recently. There was a lot of excitement excite-ment in the rooms as the students stu-dents counted the number of donated items and placed them on the cart to take at the entrance to the auditorium where Student Council members mem-bers were busily making a pyramid out of the cans and packages. There were over 1000 food items donated by the students. The products will be given to the Food Shelter. Packaged food, canned goods, personal care items and baby items were all donated by the students. To encourage donations, students stu-dents competed as classes with a special breakfast for the winning win-ning class. Mr. Mott's Band Class was the winner with Mr. Castleton's Math Class run- photo by Kalyn Secretan WWngfs o he Monfi: Pleasant Grove Vikings of the Month are (front row, l-r) McKay Shoell, Robert Gurney, Josh Hardman, (back row l-r) Kylee Fenton, Stephanie McFarland and Shalynn Dean.
