H - .f 3 H p JSA M &J mh; jf (j I v. n Bessie I Wilkinson Bessie returned to Heavenly Heaven-ly Father, by loved ones, on September Sep-tember 26, 2003. She was born February 7, 1916 in Richfield, Rich-field, Utah to Charles and Tressa Dimmick Jenson and received her education in Delta Schools. Bessie married Albert Willard Wilkinson August. 25, 1941. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. After Bessie and Albert married, they made their first home in Orem, Utah where she lived until 1988, at which time she moved to American Fork. While living in Orem, Bessie and Albert worked very hard on the family fruit farm. Bessie was a member of the American Fork 18th Ward of the IDS church. While living in Orem she held many positions in the primary, young women's, and Relief Society organizations. organiza-tions. Bessie worked in the Provo Temple for several years. She was called to a mission and served as a "member locator." She enjoyed genealogy, needle work, and reading. She is survived by her son James R. (LaRaine) Wilkinson of Mt. Pleasant, UT; daughter Mrs. Gary Edna Thompson Haycock Edna Thompson Hay- Lehi; Opal cock, 90, of Lehi, Utah, Clark, Salt passed away at her home of Lake City; natural causes on Sept. 18, 9 grand- 2003. She was born the old- children; est of 15 children on March 26 great- 18, 1913, in Beaver Dam, grandchil- Utah, to James R. and Ellen dren; 1 1 Peterson Thompson. She married Leo Rex Haycock on March 27, 1930, in Junction, Junc-tion, Utah. They were later sealed in the St. George LDS Temple. Rex passed away Feb. 3, 1975. Edna was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in the Relief Society presidency and the first year Beehives in the Lehi 7th Ward. She loved her gardening and her flower gardens. Survived by 1 son and 3 daughters, Rex J. (Kather-ine) (Kather-ine) Haycock, West Valley City; Leora Barney, Karran (Jim) Danielson, both of v, , '-. , . y . r ; ' -J great-great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday, Sept. 22, 2003, at 11:00 a.m. in the Wing Mortuary chapel, Lehi. Services were conducted con-ducted by Sam Wycherly of the Lehi Wines Park Ward. Speakers included Joy Savage, Sav-age, Peggy Skog, Vervene Grant, Carol Benson and Sam Wycherly. Poems were offered by Shannon Hardy and Angelia Danielson. Blaine Anderson sang, "Beyond the Sunset" and Donna Walters sang, "Silver Threads Among the Gold." The organist was Lorene Carlton. Carl-ton. Interment followed in the Lehi City Cemetery. Thomas M. Devey Thomas Melvin Devey, 36, of Pleasant Grove, died unexpectedly on September 24, 2003. He was born March 31, 1967 in American Fork to Thomas Albert and Rhea Gray Devey. He attended schools in American Ameri-can Fork and was a graduate gradu-ate of the Utah Police Academy. Acad-emy. He was employed as an Automobile mechanic after high school. After leaving the police academy, he was employed for a short time as a part time deputy for the Utah County Sheriff's Department. He then found employment with Karman Kitchens in Murray Utah. He married Kimberly Christiansen on November 8,1991. Tom, Kimberly and their son Adam, made their home in American Fork and Pleasant Grove. Tom is survived by his wife, Kimberly, his son, Adam, and four sisters, Shirley (George) Hatfield, Highland, Patti (Harold) Blakesley, Lehi, Sandra Veenstra, Taylorsville, Lisa (Bryon) Bowen, Tonopah, Nevada and his parents of American Fork. He was preceded pre-ceded in death by his brother, broth-er, Michael. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, October 1 at Anderson Mortuary, 49 E 100 W, American Fork. Burial in Alpine City Cemetery. Women's radio show comes to Utah Valley There is a new radio show called Healthy Wealthy Wow, reality radio for women who believe in the beauty of a balanced life. This is the first daily woman's talk show to be on the airwaves every day and the first for women and their families - other than sports and politics. This show will share information with women that will help, uplift, educate edu-cate in thhe areas of healthy living, wealthy living liv-ing and Wow. The "Healthy Wealthy Wow Reality Radio for Women Who Believe in the Beauty of a Balanced Life" announced they began to air at noon weekdays on KSTAR 1400 AM, starting today. According to HWW founders and radio hosts, Robbie Lawler and Kim Power Stilson, "Healthy Wealthy Wow (HWW) Reality Radio and Monthly Grapevine Gatherings for Women Who Believe in the Beauty of a Balanced Life" is truly an idea whose time has come. It all happened this summer. Lawler and Stilson were discussing their respective radio shows (Mother's Morning Out and Power Strategies, Market Your Business to a Better Bottom Bot-tom Line) over lunch when the conversation turned (as women's conversations usually do) to family, friends and how they were trying to balance their lives with all they wanted to accomplish. Bessie was preceded in death by her husband Albert and by daughter Joan Wilkinson. Funeral services were held Monday, September 29, 2003 at the American Fork 18th Ward chapel. Louie I Giiiman Louie Thome Gillman, 96, of Lin-don Lin-don passed away Thursday, September 25, 2003. one was born December 3, 1906 in Lindon, Utah to David Benjamin Ben-jamin and Eva Mary Keetch Thorne. She married Alvin "Snow" Gillman on March 28, 1926 in Provo, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Louie lived within a mile of her birthplace in Lindon all her life. She attended school in both Lindon and Pleasant Grove and graduated gradu-ated from Pleasant Grove High,. School. She was an active member of the LDS Church and willingly served in many ward and stake positions during her life. Louie's life was raising her family on the farm in Lindon while working .alongside "Snow" and the ptflren. She was proud of her children, grandchildren, grandchil-dren, and great-grandchildren who number over 100. She enjoyed quilting and sewing and made dozens of quilts for grandchildren in addition to bottling fruit for family and friends. She is survived by four children: JVar (LaDean) Gillman, Lindon; Rayola Barker, Garden Valley, ID; Leon (Karolyn) Gillman, Pleasant Valley; Clint (Marilyn) (Mar-ilyn) Gillman, Lindon; 24 grandchildren and numerous numer-ous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by "Snow" in 1974; three sons: Lowell Gillman, Dale Gillman, and Paul Gillman; grandchildren: Tye Gillman and Steven Gillman. Funeral services were held Monday, September 29, 2003 in the Lindon Second Sec-ond Ward Chapel. Interment Inter-ment was in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery. Robert Leffler Walker Robert Leffler Walker died Sept. 22 2003 in Huntington Hunt-ington Beach, Calif He was born on Feb. 13, 1925 in American Fork, Utah to Vern and Hazel Leffler Lef-fler Walker. He attended school in American Fork and graduated from American Fork High School in 1943. On Aug. 17, 1944 he married mar-ried Patricia Sullivan. He is survived by his wife and two -eons, Michael Robert (Jill) of Phoenix Arizona, and "Robert Arden (Kim) Walker of Glendale Arizona. Also six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, sisters Grace (Leo) Roberts, Edith (Art) Gordon and Lucille Wooton all of American Ameri-can Fork, Utah. .
