American Fork High School names winners of creative writing contest The Creative Writing II class at American Fork High School recently concluded con-cluded a short story contest. The contest is sponsored by the class as part of teacher, Leilani Sheen's curriculum. The theme for this year's contest was "Only in your dreams". Winners of the short story category were: first place, "Cloudy on Wheels" by Daniel Jackman; second place, "Mental Powers" by Carl Richards; and third place, "Day of Regret" by Jake Frandsen. Honorable mention went to Andrew Packer for "Kerns Shafter". The winners of the essay category were: first place, "Are Milk and Cookies Really the Answer?" by Andy Payne; second place, "Feeling Centered" by Matt Barrington; and third place, That's the Stuff Dreams are made of" by Thomas Watkins Poetry winners were: first place, "Only in Dreams" by Tawni Fagan; second place, "Utopia of Thought" by Kim Mau; and third place, "Silent Prayer" by Mckenzie Boltz. Honorable mentions went to Jake Frandsen, "Only in Dreams"; Andy Payne, "Dreams You Don't Want to End"; and April Arnold, "It Doesn't Matter". The winning entries will be combined into a magazine maga-zine format for the class members and the winners of the contest.
