With the onset of spring, school representatives indicate indi-cate it is time for parents and students to review what is and is not appropriate appropri-ate for school, especially regarding shorts and tank tops. We made an announcement to the students stu-dents explaining that tank tops are inappropriate and that shorts should be closer . to the knee than the top of the leg. Please review the following: 1. All 'children should dress modestly and appropriately so as to neither nei-ther endanger their health nor detract from the learning learn-ing environment. 2. Modest shorts are acceptable accept-able in extremely warm weather. Shorts which are extremely short, mini skirts, and biker shorts are unacceptable. 3. Shirts, blouses, and other tops may be sleeveless, but - must cover the shoulder and the rest of the body to the waist. 4. On the days that children chil-dren are to participate in physical education, they should dress appropriately for the activities planned. 5. "Grubby" clothing or clothing containing inappropriate inap-propriate pictures, vulgarities, vulgari-ties, profanities, obscenities or advertisements for alcohol, alco-hol, tobacco, or drugs are never acceptable. 6. Hats or other headgear should not be worn indoors. 7. Thongs, flip-flops, et cetera should be considered dangerous and undesirable foot protection. protec-tion.
