Hayden Douglas, Elizabeth Elaine, and Spencer Daniel put in their appearance by Caesarean-section at 6:43 p.m. and 6:44 p.m. (two were born at the same time). Parents Alison and Todd Webb of Alpine said Hayden weighed 5 lbs. 1 oz. and was 17-inches 17-inches tall; Elizabeth, 4 lb. 9 oz and IS inches tall, and Spencer 4 lbs. 8 oz. and 18-inches tall. Annette Pulley, a registered nurse who assisted with the delivery, explained why no other triplets have been born at the hospital, saying the mother has to be at least 34-weeks along in her pregnancy before the baby can be kept at American Fork Hospital. Triplets usually put in their appearance much earlier than that. "I've been waiting for 28-years 28-years for this to happen," Pulley said, noting she began working at the hospital in 1971. "We've had a countdown," she laughed, noting she also works for Dr. Robert Richards, a local gynecologistobstetrician, and Mrs. Webb's physician. The babies were scheduled to be born by C-section on Dec. 20, Pulley said, but decided to put in their appearance earlier than that. Dr.Porter told her she needed to be monitored, but when she got back to American Fork, it was discovered that the infants weren't waiting for another week. Mrs. Webb had had in vitro procedure at the University of California in San Francisco before the family moved to Alpine in June. Mr. Webb is a software engineer. The couple have two other children, Alex, 9, and Nicky, 3. Pulley said Dr. Richards; Dr. Gary Wold; Dr. David Johnson, a neo-natologist; Dr. Brent Knorr, a pediatrician; two respiratory therapists, and seven nurses were in attendance during the delivery.
