The "store" will be open during school hours until the Christmas holidays, and is being operated by members of the school's fifth grades in connection with their study of the free enterprise en-terprise system. The store features some 75 items - all made by not only the fifth grade students, but also other students in the school. Each item sells for no more than $1. The students have followed the establishment establish-ment of a business step-by step-by -step; from the holding of a stockholders meeting, to the election of the board of directors, selling of stock (500 shares at 10 cents a share, and no more than five shares to a person), to writing up contracts, making goods, and even "testing" of potential store clerks to see if they can enter the job market in this field. "Each boy and girl has the opportunity to earn his or her own Christmas money through making items, and selling them to the store for resale," said Jerry Jacob, a fifth grade teacher. Catalogs have been made up by displaying items for sale on large boards which are taken around to the various classes to show; advertising ad-vertising is done on bulletin boards. And at the end of the season, the store will be liquidated and the youngsters will share in the profit (or loss). Participating in the program are fifth grade students of Dr. William Doxey, and Mrs. Marva Peterson, as well as Mr. Jacob. ei;:ol of Ballet b Prc-::nt Christmas Program Jacqueline's School of Ballet wishes to announce the first annual presentation presen-tation of "The Night Before Christmas".
