Signelics Donates Equipment Valued At $25,000 to Utah Technical College Equipment valued at more than $25,000 has been donated to Utah Technical College at Provo by Signetics Corporation of Orem, according to Wilson W.Sorensen, president of Utah Tech. State-regional representative, represen-tative, Lamar Crandall, Springville; Spring-ville; secretary-treasurer, Nathan Na-than Hales, Spanish Fork. Mr. Harward reported the county association are hosting the State Cattlemen's summer convention on July 16, 17. Headquarters Head-quarters for the convention will be the Rodeway Inn at Provo, and the county cattlemen's association associa-tion is planning entertainment and an educational program for those coming to the summer convention. lum. According to Don James, division divi-sion chairman, Utah Technical College at Provo is one of the few schools to offer training in the design and fabrication of in-regrated in-regrated circuits. This type of circuit is used in practically all electronics equipment, television, tele-vision, radio, and even in electronic elec-tronic control circuits used in home heating, as well as industrial indus-trial processes. The addition of this equipment, said Mr. James, will greatly improve im-prove the quality of the training program. The placement record of the electronics department T.ias been exceptionally good over the years. More than 90 percent of the graduates of the program have been placed in good paying positions. This new equipment will provide a wider scope of employment possibilities. Although donated by the Orem plant, the equipment was secured through the Signetics Sunnyvale, Calif., facility. Aage Olsen and Oscar Cook of the UtahTech staff used their spring vacation recently re-cently to travel to California and bring back the donated equipment. Mother's Day Sped! There is no entry fee, but application should be turned in by I! ay 20, 1971. with a wallet size photo of applicant. There will be cash awards to the Queen and each of her Attendants. In addition to the Queen Contest, Con-test, other events have been planned plan-ned for the evening. Calf riding for the Kids up to 14 years of age. (Written permission must be given by parents).
