Mr. Booth died Friday of injuries suffered in an automobile accident at Hart, Michigan. Mr. Booth was born jury a, 1951 in Ardmore, Pa., a son of Wayne Clayson rod Phyllis Barnes Barn-es Booth. His father was a former form-er resident of American Fork. He was a graduate of the Uni versity of Chicago Laboratory School in June of 1968 and had for the past year been biology lab assistant at the University of London. He had also attended attend-ed drama courses at a night school in England. Richard had lived in Europe two other years during his life, and had been accepted as a stu dent at the Rose Bruford Col- ;e of Dramatic Arts in Eng- I land, where he had intended to enroll this fill. Surviving are his parents, t.ro sisters, Kathrerine Booth and Allison Booth, all of Chicago, and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. C. Douglas Barnes, Bountiful. Conducting the services was Ronald Strong, counselor of the Alpine Ward bishopric. Speakers included J. Merrill Bushnell of Provo, Prof. Eligh Glbby, Chi:-ago Chi:-ago and Ray J. Davis. A scriptural reading was given by Mrs. C. Douglas Barnes, his grandmother and a reading was given by Sarah Lincoln. Music for the service was a string quartet, "Largo" by Hay dn with Pattie Stewart, Claudia Laycock, July Wellman and Walter Walt-er Whipple. An organ solo, "The Chorale," from St. Matthews Passion by Bach and the pre lude and postlude music by Mrs. Orval Benson. Prayers were offered by Al len Brockbank, Leon J. Strong and Ralph Barnes. Dedication of the grave in the Alpine City Cemetery was by C. Douglas Barnes, his grandfather. Flowers were cared for and I arranged by cousins and pall bearers were John McEldowney, Ned and Bruce Bushnell,- Ran Lincoln, Donico Croom, James Steinbeck, Ranold Devey and Robert Ro-bert B. Morrison. In lieu of flowers, the family made that contributions be made to the John Richard Booth sch olarship fund at the University of Chicago Laboratory School. Show tbx! Week Utah County western riding clubs will hold their district show next Friday and Saturday Aug ust 9 and 10. Friday evening August 9 at 7:00 p.m. at the Pleasant Grove arena, the Rodeo-events will begin. be-gin. Saturday August 10 at 1:00 p.m. at the American Fork race track the races will be held. Then at 6:00 p.m. the evening show will begin at the Pleasant Grove Arena. Riding clubs participating will be: American Fork Bridlettes; American Fork Men; Cedar Valley Val-ley Riders; Lehi Men; Mt. Tlmp Riders; Rough-Outs; and Sheriffs Sher-iffs Posse. He was born August 10, 1884 in American Fork a son of Wll 11am Henry andSarah Binns Chip-man. Chip-man. He married FrancellRack-er FrancellRack-er July 25. 1922 in Salt Lake City. He was a sheepman and former Charter member of the American Fork Lions Club. He was a member of the Am. Fork Second LDS Ward, and a member mem-ber of the Woolgrowers Association. Associa-tion. Surviving are Ids widow, Am, Fork, a stepson, Frank E. O Brien, Rolling Hills, California; two grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Arthur (Lilly) Adams, Salt Lake City. Funeral services will be held Friday, August L at 11:00 a.m. In the Anderson and Sons Mort uary Chapel. Friends may call Friday prior to the services.
