Show Blackburn receives appointment Colonel Wyler J. Blackburn, American Fork, has been appointed as United States Property and Fiscal Officer (USP&FO), Utah National Guard. lite appointment was effective Feb. 1, and places Colonel Black-bum Black-bum on active duty with the United States Army assigned to the National Guard Bureau, Washington, D.C. and further assigned to USP&FO for Utah, Salt Lake City. As United States Property and Fiscal Officer, Utah National Guard, he is responsible for all fiscal and supply matters pertaining to operations of the Utah National Guard. His appointment to 'USP&FO, Utah, was made by Lieutenant General Emmett H. His service includes 18 years in the 1457th Engineer Battalion in American Fork, four years as commander of the 115th Maintenance Main-tenance Company and Annual Training Equipment Pool at Camp Williams; and three years as Commander, Combined Support Maintenance Shop, UTARNG, Salt Lake City. He also served five years as Director of Maintenance Utah Army National Guard, Salt Lake City, and, most recently, as Director of Military Personnel, HQ Utah Army Bates and Christian Barnes. Sixth grade honor students are Mark Bishop, Julie Hullinger, Becky Perry, Tami Rose, Melanie Scott and Janet Jacob. Hunters Safety course offered The Pleasant Grove Sportsmens' Association is sponsoring a Hunters Safety Course starting March 4 and running from 6 to 9 p.m. each evening through March 7.
