I will not forget the image of a person taking care of a personal body itch while preparing pre-paring a hamburger at a fast food chain. I don't think many of us think of all of the things that go on behind the kitchen doors when we eat out, let alone when we eat someone else's home cooked food. Now I was raised in such a way that we always questioned ques-tioned who had made the food and we picked some peoples food over others when we had a choice. We knew at a restaurant to always ask for a straw, because the glass may not be clean and always check your utensils before sliding them across your lips. I have "trained" our children chil-dren and even my husband to be careful when we are eating any other place than home. Going to this food handler's class has only made my strange and unusual practices worse. So, I thought that this week would be a great time to share a few tips and hints and maybe you will be more aware of those bugs, that are invisible to most but truly can be seen by the trained eye.
