They recently started designing children's rooms, making them unique, completely interactive playrooms created specifically to match a child's personality. "We just finished an interactive interac-tive play room where we built a tree that comes out of the wall, where kids can dim!) up into the tree to play." Parkinson said. Parkinson's interest in wall design has grown since her youth, where her experience as an artist helped contribute to her understanding of design. "I have been an artist for many years, and I teach ait at UVSC." Parkinson said. "My father also ran a custom framing fram-ing shop, and with the experiences experi-ences I have had I have always seen how much it can improve the images and overall wall design." The Red Plum Design team has also worked on whole home projects throughout Utah, where they create an overall wall decor for an entire home, to help unify the art, design and decor of all areas of a home. One of Red Plum Design's newest projects helps local artists art-ists by promoting their work for people's homes. They offer custom framing for the prints of the featured artists, and help to show customers which prints would create the right look for them. "The images people surround themselves with on a daily basis can alter their mood and ultimately their success," Parkinson Par-kinson said. "All we do is help people decide for themselves, 'what do your walls say about you?' "We can order anything. any-thing. It usually comes in less than two weeks." The Avon store is not meant to take the place of individual representatives, but to supplement their presence. In fact, if a representative needs an item, she or he can purchase it at the store at a discount. Customers may either come into the store or put their names on a mailing list to receive the latest bi-weekly catalogue from Avon at their homes. Schoonmaker Schoon-maker carries those items which are on special for a particular particu-lar campaign at the store. In A Ml J) J Naborhood Bakery opens Naborhood Bakery has opened its doors. The name may be different, but the location loca-tion is the same. It is on the site of Bryson Bakery, 35 N. Barratt Ave. (approximately 150 West), American Fork. Bryan Peterson, who owned Bryson Bakery, works part-time part-time at Naborhood Bakery. The store is open from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Saturday Sat-urday and may be reached at 763-9232. It offers doughnuts, Danish, assorted pastries, bread, dinner rolls, cookies, cakes, pies and brownies. New products may join the line-up in the future. There is also a day -old table which offers of-fers goods at up to 50 percent off. Owner Mark Hendrick-son Hendrick-son invited both old and new customers to the store. "The sign on the building will still say Bryson Bakery for a while," he said. "We hope to see both old friends and new ones come to visit.
