Toolson then poped a 3-pointer, went coast -to-coast for two and then hit a pull-up jumper to give the Wolverines a 23-16 lead. Peterson checked back in after taking a break and immediately imme-diately sank another 3-pointer to give UVSC its largest lead of the game at 26-16 wilh six minutes min-utes left in the half. It was then Troyer's turn. I le sank two 3-pointers and scored all 10 of his first -half points in the final five minutes of the period peri-od to send the Wolverines to the lx:ker room with a 38-23 lead. The Wolverines pushed the lead to .50-29 after a Troyer 3-pointer with 14:11 to play, but the Kangaroos bounced back wilh a 9-0 run to trim the lead to 50-38 with 11:13 left in the game. But UMKC could never get within single digits. Chris Bailey made a pair of free throws and Troyer drilled another 3-pointer to give UVSC a 55-39 advantage with 9:57 remaining. The Wolverines put UMKC away with a three-point play from Walker followed by a Walker dunk that gave UVSC a 6443 lead with 4:40 to play.
