ALCAZAR and KATHERINE CANNON Cannon to marry Alcazar in Salt Lake Temple Katherine Cannon, daughter of D. Eldon and Jolene Cannon of Orem will marry Amulek H. Alcazar, son of David and Magdalena Alcazar of Mexico City, Mexico on April 6 in the Salt Lake Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. There will be a reception that evening with guests received 6:30 to 8 p.m. and dancing until 9 p.m. at the White Willow. The bride is a graduate of Orem High School and is currently attending at-tending UVSC. She served an LDS mission to Brasil Campinas. The groom is a 1995 honors graduate from Federal District University in Mexico City. He served an LDS mission to Mexico, Merida. Timpanogos LDS Temple. Friends and relatives are welcome to visit that night from 6:30-9:00 at the Sandy, Utah Stake Center, 9331 S. 300 East, Sandy. Mindy graduated from Jordan High School, LDS Seminary, and Snow College; attends Salt Lake Community College; works at Olympus Clinic. Brent graduated from Mtn. View High School and LDS Seminary; Semi-nary; served in the North Carolina, Caro-lina, Charlotte Mission; attends Utah Valley State College; works at Office Plus-Office Furniture USA. This year, the Provo Arts Council Coun-cil celebrates with America's Freedom Festival at Provo, the exhibition of its fifth annual outstanding out-standing Fine Arts Exhibit. Held in the B.F. Larsen Gallery in the Harris Fine Arts Center, on the campus of Brigham Young University, Uni-versity, this fine arts exhibit en-couragers en-couragers local artists to display their work and familiarizes the community with the quality and diversity of the visual arts in this area Fine art pieces will be juried in the mediums of painting, drawing, draw-ing, sculpture, fiber art and print making. Three prominent local art experts will jury the show, internationally in-ternationally recognized sculptor, Gary Price, award winning illustrator, illus-trator, Bethanne Andersen, and prominent landscape artist, Robert Rob-ert Marshall. The jurors and the Provo Arts Council will abide by the moral, ethical and religious standards of the host venue. Final Fi-nal art selections will be arranged by BYU gallery director, Todd Frye and Vicki Barrett, Provo Arts Council Fine Art Representative. Represen-tative. Artwork may be purchased during the exhibit. In addition to providing a gallery gal-lery experience, the Provo Arts Council will recognize first, second sec-ond and third place winners with cash awards. The exhibit is free to the public and open daily (8 a.m. to 5 p.m.) to encourage the community to enjoy the distinctive distinc-tive talent of many artists from our state. Lisa studied English at Brigham Young University on an academic scholarship and graduated gradu-ated magna cum laude in English in December 2000. She is presently pres-ently enrolled in pre-MBA classes at Utah Valley State College. Lisa and Russell studied Spanish at the University of Salamanca, Spain, and are certifying as scuba divers. Russell is an Eagle Scout and an accomplished pianist. Russell served i?i the Quito Ecuador Mission Mis-sion for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He completed an associate's degree at UVSC and is continuing his education edu-cation there. He is currently employed em-ployed by Dentrix.
