Show 1 ff- :- - if - i - it jr' H -W Brennon Moore earns Eagle Brennon Thomas Moore, age 14, the son of Thomas and Angela An-gela Moore, received his Eagle Scout Award on May 1, 1999 at a special court of honor held at 1145 East 200 South, Lindon. Brennon is a member of troop 260 of the Lindon 10lh Ward. For his Eagle service project, Brennon did a toy drive for the nurseries of the -10th, 15th, 17th wards that are going into the new building on 200 South. He will also be awarded his Gold, Silver and Bronze Palms. He has earned 38 merit badges. Brennon is the second child in a family of six children. He attends at-tends Oak Canyon Junior High School and is in ninth grade. Brennon is going to be a camp counselor at camp Thunder Ridge this summer. He enjoys fishing, camping and swimming. She is 18-years-old and is a senior at Orem High. She is a member of the Orem 6lh Ward. Her projects included cleaning neighbor's yards, collecting trash and debris from highways, making mak-ing scrapbooks for herself and preparing to got o the temple by taking classes. LENDER FDiC James Peterson appointed Wing Commander During recent ceremonies at Kiwanis Park in Provo, Utah, James Brinton Peterson of Orem was appointed as Wing Commander Com-mander of the Air Force ROTC Detachment 855 for Fall Semester Semes-ter 1999. Cadet Peterson has completed three years of training train-ing in the AFROTC program at Brigham Young University. He has been named the Outstanding Outstand-ing Cadet for his Freshman, Sophomore and Junior classes. He is majoring in Physics and Astronomy and plans to make the Air Force his career. Upon graduation from BYU, he will continue his preparations to be an air force pilot. James is a graduate of Orem High School where he was chosen cho-sen as a Sterling Scholar in Social So-cial Science and served on the Seminary Council. He is an Eagle Scout. He served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to Russia, Rostov-na-Donu from August 1995 to August 1997. He is the son of Grant and Kathleen Peterson of Orem. BSA sponsoring youth protection training The Boy Scouts of America organization or-ganization is sponsoring a youth protection training meeting for leaders and parents. The event will be held May 6, 1999, from 7 to 9 p.m. in the LDS meetinghouse meeting-house located at 400 East 800 South in Orem. No fee will be charged for attendance. He will enter the MTC May 19,h. All friends and family are invited to attend and visit with him at his home. Christmas graduates basic Air Force Airman 1" Class Marina S. Christmas has graduated gradu-ated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. During the six weeks of train- ing, the airman studied the Air Force mission, organization, and customs and received special training in human relations. In addition, airmen who complete com-plete basic training earn credits toward an associate degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
