I This is what Friday's are for," : Timpanogos . coach Mark '. Hardman said. This was a great ! game, it was up-tempo, there was ' a lot of good shooting. It was just fun." It was especially fun for Moun- tain View when the Bruins Thirteen young gymnasts from Orem's All American Gymnastics were among 200 competitors at the USA Gymnastics Utah Level 5 and 6 State Championship meet. "We got off to a great start and that's what really carried us," Bruin coach Rob Cuff said. Timpanogos had a great second quarter and pulled to within four at the half. But in the second half, every time they pulled up on us, we came back with a big play." Many of those big plays came from the Bruins' "big play trio" of Tim Henry, Chris Hunter and Jeff Gardner. Henry had 26 points to lead the Bruin attack, Hunter added 18 and Gardner 10. Timpanogos entered the game with starter Steve Ott on the sidelines side-lines nursing an injured ankle. He was replaced in the lineup by Jeff Tuttle, who poured in 21 points in the second start of his career. "We aren't quite sure what is wrong with Steve's ankle," Hardman said. There's a lot of swelling in there and they're going go-ing to x-ray it Monday to see if there's a break anywhere. It really re-ally hurts us to have him out - he's one of the main ingredients of our team. But Jeff is doing a great job." If the x-rays prove negative, Ott should return to the team in two or three weeks. A break would mean at least four-to-six weeks out of the lineup.
