Assistant Assis-tant Director, Collette Smith Tregeagle has been involved with the studio for 35 years; Ty Collins Smith has been a featured fea-tured performer and teacher for 30 years, along with Gina Smith Hatch who has been performing with the Radio City Rockettes and Walt Disney World and has been the soloist in the Smith Studios for 25 years. Colleen first started teaching teach-ing in Provo 57 years ago. Ten of her original students are still involved with the Smith School of Performing Arts. Children of students, grandchidren of students, stu-dents, and great-grandchildren of students are all performing in this year's concert. W. Kay Collins Col-lins has been the sound engineer for 45 years and Carolyn Lee and Gloria Collins have worked as musical directors. Colleen received the National Nation-al Plaudett Award for having the most students involved in the art of dance across America. Many of her students now head their own studios in Utah Valley, Val-ley, as well as act as Chairmen of Dance Departments in many major colleges. Colleen still has many active touring companies which are scheduled to perform throughout Southern California, Califor-nia, Tennessee, and Florida during the summer of 1997. Temple Square Concert Series Friday, May 16 - The Pro Voce Chorale will perform Mendelssohn's "Elyah , with Eric Jones conducting. Soloists will be Carol Nelson, soprano; Mary Wescott, contrato; George Dyer, tenor; and Clayne Robison, baritone. Saturday, May 17 The International In-ternational Children's Choir School will perform novel music of many lands and periods in offering four tributes: a Pioneer Sesquicentennial Tribute, an Austrian Schubert Bicentennial Tribute, a Memorial to the Children of Terezin, and "Faith in Every Footstep". Kathy Sorensen is artistic director and conductor and Robert Breault will be tenor soloist Tuesday, May 20 - Javier and Lindsay Clavere, a piano duo, will perform music of Clementi, Liszt, Debussy, and Ravel, as well as world preieres of compositions by Duilio Grasso and Seymour Bernstein, composed com-posed as wedding gifts for the gifted and accomplished young musicians, who are now living and teaching in Provo. Wednesday, May 21 The English Hand Bell Ensemble of Brighton High School will select from a wide repertory of sacred, patriotic, classical, and popular music for this concert, directed by Thomas M.
