She was born January 8, 1937 in San Francisco, Fran-cisco, CA, to John E. Rowley and Shirley Staker Rowley Rasmussen. She married Thomas EdwardAdams, they were later divorced. She was a 29 year employee of Central Bank in Provo. She loved the Outdoors, Culinary arts, her herb garden, to travel and was a lady of "Great Class and Character." She was a member of the LDS Church. She is survived by her father, 3 children; Shelly (Wayne) Prestrich of Provo, Jerry (Diane) Adams of American Ameri-can Fork, Lynn (Mex) Ortega of Orem, 11 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, grandchil-dren, 2 sisters; Alice Rowley of Provo, Pattie Drennon of Sonora, CA; her closest and dearest friend, Patricia Collins and the Collins family, Bob & Genevieve, Gary, Kent & Pat, Jim & Candy, and many more caring and concerned friends. Thanks to the many caregivers at U.V.R.M.C. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the cancer society. Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 30, 1997, at 11:00 a.m. at the Orem Park 7th Ward LDS Chapel, 1160 West 400 South in Orem. Rose Brockhoff Rose Anna Kominacky Brockhoff Brock-hoff of Orem passed away on Sunday, Sun-day, May 4, 1997, of causes incident to age. She was born on November 27, 1902, to Josef and Anna Sebesta Kominacky in Vienna, Austria, where she received her education. She emigrated to the United States in 1921, later becoming a citizen. She married Louis C. Brockhoff in Oregon on October 20, 1933, and as converts to the LDS Church, they were later sealed in the Los Angeles Temple. Survivors include two daughters, 11 grandchildren, a great-grandson, and a sister. Interment, Inter-ment, Springville Evergreen Cemetery. Vernon Roper Vernon B Roper passed away May 1, 1997. He was born on April 11, 1962 to Ace and Helen Justisen Draney, in American Fork, Ut He married Lisa Ann Cooper Coo-per on January 21,1981, in Lehi, Utah. Kelly loved to work, fish, hunt, camp, water ski, and spend time with his family. He was kind and gentle to all he knew and was loved by everyone. every-one. He was loved very much by his family. Kelly is survived by his wife, Lisa Ann Draney, two sons and one daughter, daugh-ter, Jeremy K. Draney, Jessey Ace Draney, and Man die Lynn Draney. He is also survived by two granddaughters; granddaugh-ters; Shelby Jean Draney, and Samantha Debbera Robertson, four brothers, Casey L (Cheryl) Draney, Kevin A. Ronald Pierce Stubbs Ronald Pierce Stubbs, age 60, died April 28, 1997, in Orem, Utah, of cancer. He was born September 18, 1936, in Provo, Utah, to Orlin and Norma Pierce Stubbs. Ron married Marilyn R. Van Leuven on June 20, 1956, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He attended Page Elementary and Lincoln High School, where he was on the track team. He graduated in 1955. He served in the U.S. Army. He has been in sales the past 20 years, including owning his own sales and marketing company until January of this year. He was a member mem-ber of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; three daughters, including Juanita Bushman and Gaylene Ucker, both of Orem; six grandchildren; his father; five brothers and four sisters, including Mrs. Douglas (Arlcno) Dillingham of Orem. He was born August Au-gust 28, 1937 to Raymond & Margaret Marga-ret Peterson in Provo, Ut. He attended at-tended school in Orem, Ut He married mar-ried Linda Lue Sorensen on December Decem-ber 11, 1955. They had 8 children. He served in the Army National Guard for 5 years, earning the rank of SP4. He was a member of Eagles. He worked at Tooele Army Depot for 25 years retiring in 1989. He then worked for Anderson Truss Plant for 4 years. Donald enjoyed hunting, fishing, fish-ing, and camping with friends and family. After a lifetime of battling cystic fibrosis, Sarah Elizabeth McCarty was taken home today. No one who has met Sarah will ever be the same. She was born on October 3, 1983, in Portland, Oregon, to Kenneth Robert and Debra Draeger McCarty. Sarah enjoyed singing, acting, directing, and writing poetry and short stories. She enjoyed traveling and went on trips to Russia, Hawaii, St. Croix, Virgin Islands, and Canada. Sarah loved to study English and history. She was a straight "A" student Sarah served as Beehive president and loved everyone deeply that she met. She is survived by her parents, Kenneth and Debra McCarty; a brother, Ryan McCarty; a sister, Tanya (Gordon) Roylance. She is also survived by her grandparents: Norm and Marge Draeger, Jim and Dorothy McCarty, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was born September Septem-ber 25, 1914, in Orem, Utah, to James William and Estella Walker Gillman. She married Wayne Sterling Ster-ling Burningham June 24, 1938, in the Salt Lake Temple. He preceded her in death November 24, 1995. LaRue graduated from Pleasant Grove High School. She worked in the City County Building in Provo, at Penney's, Thomas, and BYU Physical Plant. She was an active member of the LDS Church and had served in many auxiliaries. She enjoyed traveling, fishing, and raising beautiful flowers. Her children, grandchildren, and greatgrandchildren great-grandchildren were her pride and joy. She touched many lives by the cards she sent to family and friends for special occasions. IvyAleen Brockbank Parkes IvyAleen Brockbank Parkes, 96, died on May 1, 1997, in Orem. She was born on January 22, 1901, to Heber P. and Elizabeth Brasher Brockbank in Huntington, Utah. Ivy lived 44 years in her home in North Hollywood, California, before moving to Orem in August of 1995. She loved her birch and pine trees, , her garden, flowers, and her beautiful beauti-ful lawn. Her , children, grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-greatgrandchildren were her pride and joy. She is survived by her children: Mrs. Rex (Beverly) Tanner, Boise, Idaho; Kay Bradford, Orem; Mary Lou Whipple, Laie, Hawaii.
