This year, they are looking to the future. Nina Pace, a charter member mem-ber of the group, is still a Chaun-tenette. Chaun-tenette. "I'm really proud of her," Maurine said. "She does a great job." The Chauntenettes are a non-audition group. Consequently, Conse-quently, there are some trained voices, and some that are not, but the blending is something special. "We've had some wonderful concerts," Maurine said. One of the most memorable was the fireside concert, "Jesus Was No Ordinary Man", presented when the singers" went on a 50th anniversary tour to northern California last year; Other trips have taken the Chauntenettes to Nevada and Idaho. Since the group tours only every other year, no tour is planned for 1996.
