Show I Orem-Geneva Times Wednesday, November 22, 1995 Page 4 . ( ft Corma Chapman Corma Gamble Chapman, 79, of Orem, passed away on Monday, November 13, 1995, of pneumonia. She was born March 10, 1916, in Preston, Idaho, to John William and Mary Wells Gamble. She married Arthur Owen Chapman Chap-man on June 6, 1941, in the Salt Lake IDS Temple. Soon after their marriage, mar-riage, Art was drafted in the Army during World War II and was overseas over-seas for 32 months. After the war and their reunion they lived in Provo; Lawrence, Kansas; Omaha, Nebraska; Nebras-ka; and settled in Orem in 1959. . Corma was an active member of the IDS Church, serving four missions: mis-sions: in California, Texas, Washington, D.C., and London, England. She held many positions in the Church; her greatest loves were serving in the Primary, genealogy, and temple work. Corma graduated from BYU in 1965 in history and genealogy and was one of the first accredited genealogists. She was the first librarian of the BYU branch genealogical library and worked as the librarian for a number of years. She was a dedicated, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, and will be missed by all her family. She is survived by her husband of Orem; her daughters, Carol (Clint) Ercanbrack of Santaquin, and Marilyn (C. Eric) Ott of Orem; one brother and two sisters: Glen (Grace) Gamble; June (Dick) Nielsen of Preston, Pres-ton, Idaho; and Neva (Merlin) Mecham of Bountiful, Utah; 14 grandchildren; eight greatgrandchildren. great-grandchildren. She was born April 13, 1911, in Wellington, Utah, a daughter of John William and Clarissa Adelaide Curtis Turner. She married Lloyd Lavon Green August 27, 1928, in Wellington, Wel-lington, Utah. The marriage was sealed in the temple October 24, 1940. During their 67 years of marriage, they resided in Tacoma, Washington; Ventura, California; and they moved to Provo in 1991. She received her education in Wellington and Price, Utah. She did various service activities for the community com-munity of Ventura, California. She loved to sew, collect porcelain dolls, and do crafts especially for others. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in the Relief Society, Primary, and Young Women programs, including holdingthe position posi-tion of president in these organizations. organiza-tions. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Lloyd Lavon Green, Provo; three daughters: Loydel Jones, Provo; Joyce deWet, Scottsdale, Arizona; Patsy Peterson (David), Provo; nine grandchildren; 11 greatgrandchildren great-grandchildren plus two pending; and three great-great-grandchildren with one pending. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and one grandchild. Funeral services were held Monday Mon-day in Provo under the direction of the Walker Sanderson Funeral Home of Orem. Sorensen, returned to his heavenly home November 13, 1995, ending a courageous battle with lymphoma, with his loving wife and family at his side. He was born January 20, 1924, in Glenwood, Utah, to James Elmer and Mattie Bell Sorensen. He married Christena LaVerne Bagley May 24, -1943, in the Manti IDS Temple. He served in the U.S. Navy in the South Pacific during World War II. After returning home, he moved to Utah County and retired from Geneva Steel after 37 years. He was an active member of the LDS Church. He served in the . bishopric, high council, Young Men's, the Sunday School presidency, and as a high priest group leader. " He loved camping, hunting, and fishing. He especially enjoyed going to Arizona each winter with his beloved wife and friends. He loved his wife, children, and grandchildren; he looked forward to every occasion they could be together. He is survived by his loving wife, LaVerne; children: ChadBrent of Salt Lake City, Mrs. Robert Berthelson (Annette) of Alamorgordo, New Mexico; Mrs. David L. She was born April 21, 1906, in Daniel, Utah, to Hans Christian and Rose Nellie Mae Thacker Hansen. The family moved to Provo in 1919. She has resided in Orem since 1929. Pearl married Lloyd LaMar Anderberg, her high school sweetheart, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on October 7, 1925. He died October 27, 1976. A son, Keith LaVon Anderberg, preceded her in death on January 11, 1989. She was affectionately called Ma by her grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, great-grandchildren, and neighbors. Side-by-side with her husband, she enjoyed en-joyed the hard work involved in making a success of family fruit-growing and residential construction endeavors. en-deavors. Livingston, 79, of Orem, died November 18, 1995, in Provo due to complications following surgery. He survived his wife, Eulalia Condie Livingston, by only six days. He was born in Fountain Green on August 3, 1916, to Heber Livingston and Mary Jane Oldroyd Livingston. He was a talented high school athlete and played football for Brigham Young University during college. A lifelong steelworker, he helped build Geneva Steel Plant in 1941 and worked there for 38 years until his retirement in 1979. Survivors include his six children, 20 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and three sisters. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 22, 1995, at 11 a.m. in the Springville Third Ward Chapel, 355 E. Center. Burial will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
