Page 2 Orem-Gcneva Times Wednesday, May 27, 1992 MB Hi MHBBBM8B8MMMBM WILLIAM AND LOUISE DALEBOUT William, Louise Dalebout to celebrate Golden Wedding William and Louise Dalebout of Orem are celebrating their 50th Wedding Anniversary May 29. They will be honored by their children at a family dinner. They were married May 29, 1942 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Bill was born in Ogden, the son of William and Berendina Dalebout. He grew up in Salt Lake City. He graduated from South High School and the University of Utah in Mechanical Engineering and worked for U.S. Steel Co. and the Torkelson-Kel-logg Co. They lived in Ahwaz, Iran for two years where Bill worked for the National Iranian Oil Co. Louise was born in Kamas, Utah, the daughter of Henry and Myrtle Burbidge. She grew up in Park City and graduated from Park City High School. She worked for Utah Power & Light Company in Park City and the War Department Army Engineers En-gineers in Salt Lake City, Utah. Each served a mission in the East Central States and have served in various positions in the auxiliaries of the church, Bill as Bishop and Louise as Relief Society President. They served together for eighteen months as Special Representatives Rep-resentatives of the church in Jerusalem, Israel and a part time mission in the Temple Department Depart-ment in Salt Lake City. Louise served seven years as a temple worker in the Provo Temple. They have two sons, Richard Scott Dalebout of Provo and William Wil-liam Terry Dalebout of Logan. They have 11 grandchildren. Stormhaven concert to benefit kids Come and feel the storm! Celebrate the last day of school with some warm hearted guys who make cool sounds and want to help Kids On The Move make the final payment on their new facility- Stormhaven, a local group, has recently returned from Los Angeles An-geles where they have been recording record-ing their upcoming major CD with Clear Lake Studio, produced by Brian Levi. They will perform at an open air concert Friday, May 29, at the Timp Drive In, 150 N. State, Orem. The concert will begin at 3:30 p.m. but will be open for seating at 1 p.m. Tickets are $5 per person. Bring blankets andor lawn chairs to sit on and just lean back and enjoy the afternoon. Proceeds will be given to help Kids On The Move. Band members are: Mark Lawrence-vocals, American Fork; David Emery-guitar, American Fork; Robert Barney-guitarvocals, Orem; Dennis Thompson-drums, Salt Lake City; Troy Peery-bass, Provo. Kids On The Move, an early intervention preschool for handicapped hand-icapped children, recently moved into their new facility near Orem Community Hospital thanks to community-fundraising efforts. KOTM still lacks $80,000 to pay for the building. According to Karen Hahne, director, grant monies aid in teaching staff and materials for the program but do not go toward the facility itself. Orem Women's Club holds closing social at Waldon Cove Orem Women's Club held their last meeting of the season at Waldon's Cove May 20, 1992. This meeting was in conjunction with the regular May breakfast. After a delicious meal was eaten, Lola Adams introduced Robert and Clarine Downs. Clarine was born in Missouri and met Robert while attending the Kansas City Conservatory of Music. Robert graduated from Lincoln High School in 1946. He taught in public schools in Kansas and for 23 years was professor of Music at BYU retiring in 1989. Robert has performed throughout the United States in opera and recital. reci-tal. Robert and Clarine were married mar-ried in 1951. They have five daughters and thirteen grandchildren. grand-children. They recently returned from a mission to South Africa. They entertained the group with beautiful musical numbers from "Porgy and Bess," "Fiddler on the Roof," "May Time," and as an encore en-core they sang "Desert Song." Their accompanist was one of their daughters, Becky Broderick. Robert Downs reminded us that in 1949 he and his sister had performed for the Orem Women's Club. All of the women in attendance atten-dance wore hats; some beautiful, some ridiculous, some pretty and others funny. The hats proved to be a great ice breaker. Liane Foutz, Ruby Nicol and Lola Jensen sang their own version ver-sion of "The Easter Parade," accompanied ac-companied by Beth Tidwell, after which the women marched around showing off thier hats. Prizes were given. President Calleen Judd thanked Liane Foutz and her entertainment committee for their diligence in making our May Breakfast a success. Calleen gave a comprehensive review of the past year's activities. ac-tivities. Five new members were welcomed wel-comed into the Orem Women's Club and presented with their information in-formation books. The meeting was adjourned with the reminder that we would be meeting in August for the annual an-nual summer party. Dole Pineapple Zesty Dressing: Chunks, drained Vi cup nonfat yogurt 6 cups shredded green cabbage V3 cup reduced calorie 1 cup shredded red cabbage mayonnaise Vi cup sunflower seed nuts Juice from 1 Dole Lemon 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard V2 teaspoon caraway seeds Combine pineapple, cabbage and sunflower seeds in a large bowl. Toss with dressing. Serves 6. ZESTY DRESSING: Combine yogurt, mayonnaise, 2 tablespoons lemon juice, mustard and caraway seeds until blended. Per serving: 172 calories, 4 g protein, 7 g fat (.9 g sat.), 25 g carbohydrate, 132 mg sodium, .3 mg cholesterol. Prep time: 20 minutes Lynnette Becraft to marry Edward Barney in Temple Lynnette Becraft, daughter of Randy and Gayle Becraft, of Orem, Utah, will marry Edward Keith Barney, son of Glen and Donna Barney, of Tucson, Arizona, on Friday, June 5, 1992, in the Jordan River LDS Temple. A reception for all friends and relatives will honor the couple that evening, 6:30-8:30, at the home of the bride's parents, 1186 W. 680 South, Orem. An open house will be held in Tucson at a later date. Maid of Honor is Diane Pratt. The bride's sisters, Emily, Pamela, and Marilyn, will provide pro-vide music on cello, violin, and harp. Best man is Rik Brenton. The bride-to-be is a graduate of Mountain View High School and attended Brigham Young University prior to making her home in Tucson. She is employed at a retirement community there. The groom is a graduate of Flowing Wells High in Tucson. He served an LDS mission in Peru and attended the University of Arizona. He is employed in Tucson. Tuc-son. The couple will live in Tucson and continue their education there.
