Parker, son of Virgil and Jackie Parker received his Eagle Scout Award on May 6, 1979 from theorem 27th Ward, troop 427, under the direction di-rection of Paul Jacobsen, scout master. He has been in a scout troop in the Charlemagne District in Europe but completed his project here in Ore m. Paul is a 9th grade student at Lakeridge Jr. High School. Scout Award Samuel M. Steele of Troop 427, Orem, recently re-cently received his Eagle Scout award. His father fa-ther presented his award to him. He is an eighth grade student at Lakeridge Lake-ridge Junior High school where he is active in the Band program. He also enjoys all athletics, Eric R. Cluff Performing On East Coast A local musician is entertaining audiences on the East Coast April 27-May 27-May 23, as a member of Brigham Young University's Uni-versity's Philharmonic Orchestra. Eric R. Cluff, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ellwood Cluff, 385 W. 800 South, Orem, is performing in major cities along the east coast's of Canada and the United States as one of BYU's 84 orchestral musicians. musi-cians. Cluff, a freshman majoring in Music Performance Per-formance at BYU, is a 1978 graduate of Orem STEPHEN WIGHT High School. At Orem Hign he was a member of the Symphonic Band, Symphony Sym-phony Orchestra, A Cap-pella Cap-pella Choir, and National Honor Society. During the East Coast tour, BYU's Philharmonic Orchestra is performing both classical and contemporary con-temporary orchestral peices. The orchestra, conducted con-ducted by Dr. Ralph G. Laycock, has performed in several national music conventions by invitation. Last year, a recording of the orchestra was chosen from tapes representing numerous schools of higher learning across the country to air over National Public Pub-lic Radio. Stephen Wight Completes Medical School Stephen Earl Wight, husband of Cindy Jeppson Wight and son-in-law of Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Jeppson Jepp-son of Orem has completed 4 years of medical school and will be graduating from the George Washington Washing-ton University Medical School in Washington D.C. on May 25th. He attended B.Y.U. where he graduated in Pre-Med with a Bachelors Bach-elors degree in Microbiology Micro-biology in 1975. Since at George Washington Wash-ington University he has received membership to the Kane-King Obstetrics and Gynecology Honor Society and will graduate in the top 25 from his class. Steve has chosen to specialize in the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology and will be doing a 4 year residency at the University Univer-sity of Iowa, in Iowa City, Iowa beginning in July. She has taught school in the Alpine School District Dis-trict for 9 years, except for two years at the old Seminary,better known as Eastmore. 1970 - 79. Now she and her husband, hus-band, Arvid Dodge, who has semi - retired, can travel and do all the fun things they enjoy doing together. She is looking forward to these special spe-cial times to be with and visit her 8 children and grandchildren.
