Aid Funds Utah has been apportioned a preliminary total of $829,690 in federal aid funds by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to finance fish and wildlife programs pro-grams the first half of fiscal year 1976. The Service apportioned a total to-tal of over $43 million for fish and wildlife restoration and hunter hun-ter safety programs to the states and the governments of Puerto Rico, Guam, the Virgin Islands and American Samoa. Funding for the second half of fiscal year 1976 will be apportioned ap-portioned in December after the Treasury Department completes the tally of fiscal year 1975 tax receipts. The break down in Utah's apportionment ap-portionment is as follows: $608, 527 for wildlife restoration; $26, 000 for hunter safety; and $195, 163 for fisheries restoration. Fisheries money will be spent on conservation pools, research and a hatchery effluent study, according to Division of Wildlife Wild-life Resources Federal Aid Coordinator Sam King. Research Re-search projects include the cutthroat cut-throat enhancement project at Bear Lake and studies at Flaming Flam-ing Gorge and Lake Powell, including in-cluding the striped bass rearing project. King said wildlife restoration monies are used for land acquisition, ac-quisition, studies of the Shiras Kirby Buildings go up in weeks instead of months. Students can complete the associate as-sociate of arts degree in the department de-partment by completing 32 hours of specialization in theater and cinematic arts plus 32 hours of general education courses. The associate usually requires two years to complete. Dr. Metten, chairman, explained that the department de-partment will offer the associate degree in four areas. The first is for the church theater specialist special-ist for those interested in theater for enrichment and personal development. A church theater specialist is one who may work effectively inanLDS ward, stake, or regional theater level. The associate degree in technical tech-nical theater qualifies the grad uate to serve as a technical theater consultant for community theater productions of church production. A third area described by Dr. Metten is the costume specialist, special-ist, who attends to the field of stage makeup and hair styling and the designing and construction of designs for stage production.
