Show USDA to Hold Idaho Hearing The U.S. Department of Agriculture Agri-culture (USDA) wili hold a public hearing June 11 in Pocatello, Idaho to consider adding seven southeastern Idaho counties to the Great Basin federal milk marketing order area. The order now covers parts of Utah, Nevada, and Wyoming. The hearing was requested by the Upper Snake River Valley Dairymen's Association, Mountain Empire Dairymen's Association, and Western General Gen-eral Dairies, representing about 90 percent of the milk producers supplying the proposed pro-posed expanded Great Basin area. These producer groups want to add to the present marketing area the Idaho counties of Bannock, Ban-nock, Bear Lake, Bingham, Bonneville, Franklin, Jeffer- We Install Window & Auto Glass . . . The hearing also will consider con-sider proposals to revise the present location pricing provisions pro-visions and extend them to the new territory proposed for coverage cov-erage by the order. Adjustments in milk prices for various milk plant locations would be computed com-puted according to distances plants are located from the single price basing point of Provo, Utah, instead of from the dual points now used, Provo and Ogden, Utah. After evaluating the hearing evidence, USDA will decide whether to recommend changing chang-ing the order.
