Keith will have excellent help again this summer. sum-mer. The girls will have as an instructor Pam Turley who is a student at BYU and played for the BYU ladies tennis team. Pam has had teaching experience experi-ence and comes from California. Califor-nia. Clint Friel will help Mr. Trane with the' younger boys and little league teams. Clint is a good player having played for Orem High tennis teams the past three yea-s. Mr. Trane will visit all the elementary schools and junior high's in the Orem area and give each student the opportunity opportun-ity of getting (free) instruction in this program. Instruction on the courts will be for four groups during the summer: A. Beginners - 1st Year B. Intermediate - 1 year or more. C. Advanced players - 2 years or more D. Adults - Beginners and advanced The summer program will begin June 3 and will run through Aug. 9. Instruction will be at the Lincoln Jr. High and Orem High School courts. The high school courts and junior high courts will be open to the public from 6 a.m. to 7 a.m. and from 12 noon to 9 p.m. each day. At the present time classes will be taught as follows: HIGH SCHOOL COURTS -Five days per week. 7 a.m. - 9 a.m. Advanced players - Jr. League teams. 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. - Advanced Advan-ced players. 9 a.: :. to 12 p.m. - Beginners Beginn-ers and advanced beginners. JUNIOR HIGH COURTS -8 a.m. to 12 p.m. - Beginners, advanced beginners, and little league instruction. Again this summer the Scera will have four little league teams playing each week in the Central Utah tennis program; pro-gram; the boys and girls who play on these teams must make the teams on tryouts against each other. The following towns have entered teams this summer: Lehi, American Fork, Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove, Orem, Provo, Spring ville, Spanish Fork, Nephi, and Manti. Scera Provides Bus For Children's Frog Rides Transportation to the SCERA Summer Children's Program is provided for all those children wjw live in the Orem, Edge-mont, Edge-mont, Pleasant View, Grand-view, Grand-view, Lakeview, and Vineyard areas, according to Vaughan Austin, SCERA Recreation Director. Residents of these areas are owners of SCERA and are thus entitled to participate in all SCERA programs. Mr. Austin pointed out that the Children's program is not a church program, and that 25 teams for summer play. In 1973 the Scera won three championships which helps to develop interest for our junior highs' and high school's teams. Tennis is becoming more popular each year; it not only involves youngsters in a summer sum-mer activity, but it teaches them a game they can enjoy the rest of their lives. mm 11 1. 2. 2. Children living within the boundries of the following Ward areas should come on their assigned days. If they want to provide their own transportation, transporta-tion, they may attend a second series of classes on Thursday. The bus fare is 10? round-trip. round-trip. TUESDAY: Children from the following ward areas: Orem 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 6th, 9th, 23rd, 2C;h, 28th, 30th, 33rd, 36th, and 49th. Bus will start at Center St. and 8th West at 8:30 a.m., thence north to North, then east to State St. and north to 8th North, thence east to 4th East and south to 6th South, then west to 2nd East and south to 5th North then west to Main St. and south to 4th North thence east along 4th North to 8th East, then south to 4th South and west along 4th South back to Lincoln Jr. High. WEDNESDAY: Children from the following ward areas: Orem 5th, 8th, 18th, 21st, 24th, 39th, 40th, 41st, 45th, 46th, and 52nd. Bus will stop at corner of 3rd South and 8th East at 8:30a.m., then travel north along 8th East to Center St., then west to 4th East and north to 4th North, then west along 4th North to Scott's Market on 8th West, thence south along 8th West to 4th South, then east on 4th South to State St. and back to Lincoln Jr. High. THURSDAY: Children from the following wards and those wishing to participate twice during the week. Edgemont wards, Orem 11th, 13th, 16th and 31st and any children who cannot come on their assigned day. There will be no bus run on this day but children are urged to attend with their parents par-ents furnishing transportation. FRIDAY: Children from the following ward areas: Orem 4th, 12th, 14th, 15th, 19th, 20th, 22nd, 27th, 29tli, 32nd, 35th, 37th, 38th, 44th, 50th, 51st, Lakeview, Vineyard and Provo 20th. Bus will start run at the Orem 12-32 Chapel on 8th East at 8:30 a. m., thence to 17th South and west to State St. then across State St. and south to 18th South, thence west and north to 16th South, then along 16th Soath to Main St. where the bus will turn south to 20th Sojth, thence along lower road to the Lakeview Chapel, thence north to Center St. and west to 8th West then south to 4th South and east to State St. and back to Lincoln Jr. High.
