Show Dennis Ruffell Distinguished Mayor Winston Crawford presented pre-sented the 1971 Jaycee Distinguished Dis-tinguished Service Award to Dennis Ruffell at the annual banquet ban-quet held at Park's Cafe. Dennis has done an outstanding job in the community, church and with theJaycees. He has spearheaded various projects including Lin-don's Lin-don's Junior Miss Pageant, and has been a leader in the boy scouts helping many boys earn merit badges with his excellent stamp collection. DSA Chairman was Terry Eckert (right). Capitol Punishment Discussed At C of C Meeting The recent Chamber of Commerce Com-merce meeting was held at the Chamber Office. Present were directors and members. Discussed was the resolution that had beenpassed to the Chamber Cham-ber of Commerce on Capitol Punishment. The resolution ask for support of the Chamber to get passed into law the death penalty for murders. They went on record as asking UVIDA for a financial report and an outline of accomplishments accomplish-ments in the past year. The Chamber invited UVIDA to attend a meeting with the information. Parents and Youth To Discuss Problems Parents and youth will have opportunity op-portunity to discuss their problems prob-lems together at the 10th annual Family Life Conference at Brig-ham Brig-ham Young University Friday, Jan. 28. For the first time in the history his-tory of the conference, parents and their sons and daughters are being urged to attend together. Any parent may attend, and high school students will be permitted time out of school to attend if they have approval from parents or the school principal. The program is especially designed de-signed to encourage group discussions. dis-cussions.
