Show Orem-Geneva Times Thursday, January 27, 1972 Orem Group Holds Annual Social, Dinner An annual Christmas Party was held this year with a group of friends who have been meeting together for the past 25 years. They meet twice a year for a Christmas and summer party. They were members of the old Timpanogos, Geneva and Grand-view Grand-view Wards. Hillcrest Ward was created and consisted of these wards. The party was at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Don Ivie. House of Representatives. Prior to his election to congress, he had served four terms in the Illinois Ill-inois Legislature, and as Assistant As-sistant State's Attorney prior to this office. He was first elected to congress in 1964 with a plurality of over 69 percent of the vote in his district. Congressman Erlenborn received re-ceived his B.A. degree from the University of Chicago in 1947, after attending Notre Dame University Uni-versity and the University of Indiana In-diana on the Navy V-12 program during World War II. Driver Training Course Offered At UTC For Adults The February driver training train-ing course for adults who have never driven before or who do not now have a driver's license will begin Monday, Feb. 7, at the Utah Technical College at Provo. The course will be organized and registration take place at a meeting beginning at 5:30 p.m. that evening in the driver training train-ing portion of the college, located lo-cated just inside the west entrance to the south wing of the college. She was born March 22, 1892, in Toquerville,Washington County, Coun-ty, a daughter of Horace L. and Amy Nebeker Slack. She married mar-ried William C. McEwen onSept. 29, 1920, in the Salt Lake Temple, Tem-ple, he died in 1930. Mrs. McEwen was active in the LDS Church in the Pleasant View Ward. Her hobbies were fancy needlework, quilt making, and crocheting. Survivors include two daughters daught-ers and two sons; Mrs. Grant C.
