Pioneers came here and found it, building homes in this beautiful place; Such delightfully peaceful surroundings; sur-roundings; brought happy smiles to their face. They decided to call the place Orem, 'Twas a most appropiate name; It was for long the home of the Indian, who finally the pioneers pione-ers tamed; Crops planted, they built roads, storehouses and churches, planting flowers, shrubs, pine trees and birches. Orem has grown, now it's known far and wide as a heaven on earth, where happy people abide. The right things happen in Orem, Or-em, because we want it that way.
