Adams (Marilyn Wiley) Mrs. William Berend (Bonnie Carter) Couple Honeymoon To Southern Utah Honaymooning recently in southern Utah are Mr. and Mrs. Robert L. Adams who were married mar-ried June 7 in the Manti LDS Temple. The bride is the former Marilyn Wiley, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph LaVon Wiley and the groom is asonofMraridMrs. Bryce L. Adams, all of O'rem. Following their marriage the couple were honored at a reception recep-tion in theorem 17th Ward Chapel. Pillars lighted in green with cherubs and a flowing fountain carried car-ried out the green and lavender theme. The bride wore a sheath gown of lace and satin featuring an empire waist and enhanced with a flowing train trimmed in pearls and lace. She carried a bridal bouquet featuring a single orchid surrounded with white roses. Attending the bride wereDenise Wiley, LaVee Jensen, Deloris Bodily, ChairmainRasmussenan? junior bridesmaids were Colleen Wiley and Sheryl Adams. Flower girls were Bonnie and Gayla Wiley. They carried lavender nosegays. Gary' Perkins stood as best man with Roger Wiley as junior best man. The bride was entertained at a pre-nuptial shower given by Dianne Snow, Eloise Gatherum and LaVee Jensen. The couple will make a home in Provo for the summer than plan to move to Salt Lake City where the bride will teach. Mr. Adams is employed at Tooele Ordinance Depot. Church Ceremony Solemnizes Recent Marriage Now making their home in Seattle, Se-attle, Wash., are Mr. and Mrs. William Berend who were married mar-ried in sacred ceremonies performed per-formed June 1 in St. Marks Lutheran Lu-theran Church inProvo.The bride is the former Bonnie Carter, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred D. Carter of Orem and the groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Berend of Seattle, Wash. A reception at the home of the bride's parents honored the couple coup-le following the ceremony. The bride wore a floor-length organza gown in traditional white featuring lace panels down the front, a lace bodice, long pointed sleeves and scalloped neckline. Her flowing organza train had lace inserts, and she wore a shoulder-length veil of illusion attached to a flower tiara. She carried white roses andstephan-otis. andstephan-otis. Attending the couple were Mr. and Mrs. Clint Ercanbrack as matron of honor and best man, Mrs. Ercanbrack hosted a shower for the bride at the home of her mother, Mrs. Arthur 0. Chapman in Orem. Timp Cave Hours Now In Effect Thomas A. Walker, Superintendent Superin-tendent of Timpanogos Cave National Na-tional Monument has announced that the summer cave hours are now in effect. The cave and cave trail open at 8 a.m. Cave ticket sales close at 4 p.m. Visitors should bring a light coat or sweater for the trip through the cave. Pets are not permitted on the trail or in the cave. The round trip normally requires about three' hours. Tours are conducted every day of the week including Sunday. The National Park Service and the U.S. Forest Service are presenting pre-senting evening slide programs at Timpanogos Cave National Monument Mon-ument Visitor Center. These programs pro-grams will be given each evening except Sunday during the entire summer. The programs consist of demonstrations and illustrated lectures on a different topic each day of the week. Programs begin at 8 p.m. in the Visitor Center located in American Fork Can yon on Utah State Highway 80. Wayne Gurney who were married Friday, June 7, 1968, m the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Franklin Frank-lin D. Richards officiated in the marriage rites. The new Mrs. Gurney is the former Marilyn Rawlings, daughter daugh-ter of Mr. and Mrs. Wesley P. Rawlings of Orem. The groom is the son of Mrs. Ferron Huff of Lehi. A reception honored the couple the evening of the wedding at the Vineyard Ward Chapel. The hall was decorated in pale yellow and lime green. The bride wore a sheath gown of crepe accented with appliqued lace. She carried gold roses and daisies. Anderson Mr. and Mrs. William Homer Fitzwater of Orem are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Sandra, to Vertis M. Andersen son of Mr. and Mrs. Alonzo Andersen of Brigham City. The marriage will be solemniz ed in the Logan LDS Temple Friday, Fri-day, August 2 after which a garden gar-den reception will take place at the home of the bride's parents that evening. Miss Fitzwater is a graduate of Orem High "School. For the past four years she has been employed em-ployed by the State of Utah and is presently working at the Second Sec-ond District Juvenile Court in Salt Lake City. : ' Mr. Andersen has served a mission to New Zealand and in August will be graduated from the BYU with his masters degree in P.E. and Health.
