Elwell (Elaine Eastmond) Reception Honors NewlyWeds -Following Nuptials Thursday .: , A lovely reception in theorem , Reception Center last Thursday, June 6, honored newlyweds Elaine Eastmond, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. Taylor Eastmond of Orem, and James D. Elwell, son . of Mr. and Mrs. John Leroy El-rwell, El-rwell, of Dodge City, Kansas. They were married earlier in the evening at the Reception Center. '.'. The bride wore a floor-length gown of heavy white linen. The bodice and short sleeves were encircled en-circled with small embroidered daisies. A full-length train fell from the daisy waistline in the back. Her bouffant, waist-length veil was caught in a cluster of pearls surrounding daisies to match her dress. The bridal bouquet bou-quet was a white orchid, with cascading red roses and white trailing ribbons tied with love knots. Matron of honor was the bride's new sister-in-law, Mrs. Michael Riegel, who had traveled from Austin, Texas, for the nuptial celebration. Other attendants were Karla Butterfield, Irene Harding, Sydney Wallace andSan-dra andSan-dra Harding. They wore pink full-length gowns and carried crescents of white carnations centered with red roses. The two mothers were gowned in matching re-embroidered lace dresses, Mrs. Elwell in beige and Mrs. Eastmond in pink. White gladioli and red roses were used profusely as decorations, with the same motif being used on the serving tables. The many-tiered wedding cake was topped with a banquet of red rose buds. Guests were greeted at the door by, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Gordon, Gor-don, and Miss Anna Claire Eastmond East-mond was in charge of the guest book. The gifts were arranged for display by Mrs. John Elwell, Mrs. Rex Butterfield, and Miss Charline Hardman. Ricky and Tena Eastmond, and Shannon and Shelly Eastmond assisted in serving serv-ing the refreshments. A special guest was Mrs. Re-gina Re-gina Christensen, grandmother of the bride, from Provo. During the evening, Mr. Byron Jenson played organ numbers especially es-pecially requested by the bride. A miscellaneous shower was given by M rs. Albert Butler, Mrs. Arthur Done and Miss Janie Johnson. John-son. Mrs. Elwell was graduated from Brigham Young University the Friday preceding her wedding and the groom is a graduate of Utah State University at Logan. After a brief honeymoon in Las Vegas, they will make their home inJSan Diego where Mr. Elwell is stationed at the Balboa Naval Na-val Hospital with the United States Navy.' Walker, 633 West 1600 North, Orem. Mr. and Mrs. Walker were married June 12, 1918 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They are the parents of six children, five of whom are living. They are Bernard Ber-nard Walker and Don M. Walker of Orem; Eva Hardman of Lehi; Jewel Vogel of Golden Eagle, Illinois; Janice Craig, Tempe, Ariz.; they also have twenty grand' children and two great-grandchildren.
