Show V 1 Utah County Joins In Observance Of Law Day In the communist world May 1 Is May Day and the Red over lords will celebrate It by flaunt ing their military might In the United States, May 1, by joint resolution of Congress and by presidential proclamation, Is designated as Law Day USA: 'we will celebrate It In a quieter, less spectacular, butmoreslgnlf-lcant butmoreslgnlf-lcant fashion. We will do It simply by paying tribute to the law and our cherished heritage of liberty and freedom. Law Day is a day designated to remind us of the fundamental truth that our liberty, our rights to pursue our Individual destinies, and our very lives are dependent upon our system of law and independent in-dependent courts. Only under the rule of law, and obedience thereto, can we rightfully claim our heritage heri-tage of Individual freedom, It also serves to remind us that the great Individual rights we value i - BEER A big boost to the economy! The brewing industry each year contributes over 1.4 billion dollars in federal, state and local excise taxes. Wages and salaries in the brewing industry account for almost 500 million dollars, and the purchase of packaging materials from other industries in-dustries runs over 550 million. In addition, because Law Day this year Is on Sunday, a special ef fort Is being made to tie in freedom free-dom of religion with Law Day USA and to bring this message to churches and religions of all kinds in Utah County on Sunday, May 1. Any organization such as School classes, church groups, or other clubs, having questions concerning concern-ing the' law are cordially Invited to contact any bar member at any time and they will be happy to come and talk to their particular group on the subject of law. Pres. Hunt stated that there Sister Nina Petersen NINA PETERSEN CALLED ON MISSION Nina Petersen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin F. Petersen will be honored at Missionary Testimonial Testi-monial Services to be held Sunday Sun-day May 1 6:30 p.m. In the Orem 18th Ward Chapel, 50 South 800 East, Miss Petersen will serve in the Southern Australian Mission for the L.D.S. Church. She will enter the Mission Home May 16. OREM RESIDENTS VISIT CALIFORNIA Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Vert recently spent a flying weekend in Monterey, California for a Nitecap"dinner and broadcast. While there they also visited in Redwood City with Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Vert (Sylvia Gardiner) and family. Mr and Mrs. Arnold Vert have a new baby boy and three daughters. The grandparents brought their granddaughter, Pamela with them to their home for a visit. is a tremendous responsibility given by the Lord to parents in laying a strong foundation of faith, love, prayer, and a desire to live the gospel of Jesus Christ. This foundation can most effectively effec-tively be built in a persons life when they are young and should be cultivated throughout their lives by the exemplary conduct of the parents. Pres.
