It arrived at this figure in a special study of liquor and tobacco consumption. The Foundation report 'concludes 'con-cludes that approximately 46 per cent of the total retail sale price of these items went for taxes. Liquor and wine appear to be the most heavily taxed items, with taxes (and state monopoly profits) amounting to 76 per cent of the total retail price. State and Federal taxes on beer were equal to about 16 per cent of the total sale price in 1956, while approximately 44 per cent of the total amount spent for tobacco products in Utah went for taxes. Utahns spent $42,980,000 for tobacco, beer, and liquor in 1956, according to the report. This sum is equal to $52.14 for every man, woman and child-residing in the State. Foundation analysts report that the consumption of beer, cigarettes, cigare-ttes, and wine has been declining declin-ing in Utah during recent years. However, this decline has been offset somewhat by an Increase In the use of distilled spirits. Services Held For Orem Woman In Idaho Funeral services were held in Idaho Falls for Ambronetta J.
